TAKEN AGAINST HER WILL
"Welcome back Charlotte." Charlotte looked to the door and back to Alarick at the desk. She walked closer to Alarick, dropping her bag on an empty chair and confused. "Alarick, why are you here? How do you even know where I work?" Alarick unfurled his fingers. "It isn’t a government secret, finding out wasn’t a problem." "Where's Ethan, my boss? This is his office." "He isn't here and he isn't your boss anymore. Well he is, just not at the top of the command chain. I'm your new boss because as of yesterday, I bought this law firm." Charlotte stepped back and chuckled, covering her eyes. "You can't be serious. Bought the firm I work at? Why on earth would you do that?" Alarick stood up from his chair. He had to convince Charlotte to go back to the mansion with him where he could question her before handing her over to the police. He didn’t want to take the chance that he would get tipped off and have time to run away before getting to the mansion, if not he would have waited s

TIP OFF
Alarick walked back into the room after some minutes holding a flash drive and a laptop in his hands. Charlotte sat on the lounge chair with indignation. Alarick set the laptop in front of her and put in the flash drive. He opened the document on the laptop and faced the device towards Charlotte. Charlotte saw a picture of herself with her name beside it in bold letters. She scooted forward on her seat to get a better look."What's this?" "Evidence against you. That's what I'm going to use to put you behind bars for the rest of your life." Charlotte surfed through the documents on the file, her face frozen with shock. She thought she had left this part of her past behind but here it was, staring her in the face. Charlotte sniffled and turned the laptop away."You did a background check on me? How dare you?"Alarick scoffed."Yeah right. Like I didn't have a right to do that when you stole confidential files from my company.""I did no such thing."Alarick walked over to her and tur

CAR CHASE
Alarick and his men drove east towards Lexington avenue. As they drove they searched for a man in a red baseball cap. Lucky for them, one of the guards found him. He picked up his phone and called Alarick."Sir, I found him. He's in a brown Volvo, straight ahead on your left."Alarick searched for the car where he was told it would be. His eyes landed on the brown Volvo some distance in front of him on his left side. He caught the image of a red baseball cap from the side view mirror of the car."Got it. Don't lose him." Alarick instructed the men.Alarick drove around a black jeep directly in front of him in order to catch up to the Volvo. He made sure not to lose sight of the car as he navigated several cars blocking his path. Soon enough he was right behind the Volvo. He came round to the right side of the car to make sure it was the man he was looking for. Alarick's eyes came face to face with Avon's. Avon gave him a small smirk."You!" Alarick shouted out but before he could re

HANDING HIM OVER
Alarick walked through the doors of the police station after arriving shortly. He headed straight for Maurice's desk."What is so important that you called me down here? I have things to do."Maurice turned to him, looking pissed off."Oh, I know the important things you have to do."Maurice tossed a phone on the desk. Alarick picked it up and looked at it. It was an article from an entertainment news outlet.HEIR TO THE KING FORTUNE ALARICK KING ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPS A MAN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT"Just keep on flipping between all the sites, I have them lined up for you." Maurice said with a frown. The press had already gotten a hold of what happeneda while ago and they were having a field day with it."It's everywhere. Did you see how many views? A million. PRESS CONFERENCE
Alarick and Maurice arrived at the station with Avon in tow. Avon had already been carried in and taken to the interrogation room for questioning while Maurice held Alarick back to speak to him."I know you're going to come in with me to ask Avon questions, I won't deny you that right. I only have one rule for you to follow. No threatening. Not like last time."Alarick nodded in agreement before he and Maurice went to the interrogation room. Avon was seated down looking at the 2 way glass mirror in the room. He turned to the men as soon as they walked in. Avon glanced at Alarick with aversion and turned away. Alarick took his seat as Maurice spoke while he did the same."You would have to cooperate with us if you want a light sentence." "Tch. What made you think I want a sentence at all?""We already have you. You're meant to be in a prison cell right now but you're here. Don't you know what that means? You might still have a chance." Maurice continued, trying to goad him into ratt

ATTEMPT TO RUN
Alarick sat on his bed immediately after he had had his shower. He had told the chefs to give Charlotte some food as he would go back to the guest room to interrogate her later tonight. He rubbed his head with the still damp towel on his shoulders and sighed. The day had been a long day. From getting Charlotte to chasing Avon and then the press release. He was tired. Alarick's eyes slowly started to close. He opened them again, willing himself to stay awake. He had to interrogate Charlotte. There was no time. His eyes fluttered shut again. His brain and his body were fighting but it seemed that his body had won the war as Alarick drifted off to sleep. The sound of his phone ringing brought Alarick out of his slumber. He rubbed his eyes and checked his phone that laid beside him on the bed from where he had thrown it earlier. Alarick was annoyed that his sleep was cut even though he had something to do. He groggily got up from bed. Who the hell was calling him this early in the morn

LOSING THE LEAD
Alarick brought out a recorder from a drawer that he had told one of the guards to stash earlier. He turned it on and held onto it."For the record, Charlotte Winslow is the culprit here and I will be asking some questions relating to the death of her father, Jonathan Winslow and the attack on Cillian King and his company.” He first spoke into the recorder since he planned to use it as evidence later then he spoke to Charlotte. “I'm going to start with an easy one. How do you know Dylan McCaffrey and the rest of his accomplices?"Charlotte folded her arms and gave Alarick a menacing look."I don't know them.""Stringer is in custody now. Do you know what that would do for you? Lies won’t help you at this point.""I don't know who this stringer is and frankly I don't care."Alarick watched her closely for any tell tale sign. Charlotte didn't give any."How did you get in touch with them?""I didn't.""When did you start planning this? Was it before or after you got in touch with your

CATCHING THE CULPRIT
"How are we going to catch the murderer here?" Maurice said.Alarick frowned but had resolved his mind. Even though this was a police station, a criminal, a murderer even was hiding among them. They had to put the station on lockdown. "We have to lock down the whole building. No one goes in or out.""You want to trap all of us here with the person that just murdered Avon. What if they lask out again? Do you even think the officers would allow this?"Alarick tried to reason with Maurice."I can't do anything but you work here Maurice. We outnumber the murderer about 20 to 1. Even if they wanted to do anything they wouldn't be able to. This could be our only chance to catch the person helping Dylan, especially when he just had one of his men killed for being caught. The officers will listen to you so, convince them."Maurice conceded to Alarick and addressed the slightly panicked and discombobulated officers that filled the room."Can I have everyone's attention please."The officers i

COP IN CUFFS
"Hey! Let go of me!"The shouting voice filled the hallway as Alarick and Maurice went back to the main room where all the officers were waiting.Alarick's eyes landed on the same man from the video, Matt being dragged towards the center of the room by Craig and Allison. Finally, It was time to get some answers.Everyone in the room watched on as Matt kept on shouting. Alarick and Maurice walked over to Craig and Allison. Matt looked at Maurice with shock written all over his face."Maurice, what's going on? Tell them to release me."Maurice shook his head."I can't do that. You know what you did and you need to face the consequences."Maurice turned to everyone else in the room. "I know it may be hard for some of you to hear this but we found the murderer. It's Matt. He poisoned the water he gave to the prisoner to get rid of him."Collective gasps peppered the room. Officer Winowa Presley spoke up. She spoke up because she believed that Matt was innocent but mostly because they wer

THE CAFE
Alarick and Maurice went to the main room where the group of morose looking officers sat. They all had a look of betrayal written on their face. As Alarick passed some of them he could hear their whispered conversations."Did he really do it though?""You saw the tape. It had to be him.""But we know Matt, this just doesn't seem plausible.""I guess we didn't know him at all. I just pity Winowa. She was really in love with him. I…"Alarick walked out of earshot but could still hear the sound of murmuring when Allison walked up to him and Maurice. Allison spoke to Maurice."You called me sir."Maurice handed Allison the keys he had gotten from Wales earlier."Yes. Please remove all the locks around the station."Allison took the keys and left. Maurice addressed the officers in the room. The officers noticed him and gave him all their attention."Everyone, what we've gone through today is hard, for some more than others. Let this be a lesson to everyone to abide by the law. There isn't
