Mrs. Alonso's visit
Marc was sitting in his office, concentrating on his work, when he heard a knock at the door. He got up, walked over to the door and opened it. There was his mother, standing on the threshold, a smile on her face."Hello, son," she said, as she entered the office without waiting to be invited. "How are you?""I'm fine, Mom," Marc replied, closing the door behind her. "What brings you here?""I miss you, son," his mother said, gently stroking his cheek. "I haven't seen my youngest son in a long time. I want to know how you're doing and how you're doing in life."Marc sighed. He knew his mother wasn't there just for a social visit. She had come to try to persuade him to return to the Alonso family."You know how I am, Mom," he said. "I'm doing fine. I'm doing well.
