Chapter TwentyOne
I walked past her, but changed my mind and turned around to face her again. "I heard about you, I know what you are," I said with a smirk. "Many people know who and what I am, so don't flatter yourself," Ashley said through sputter. "I heard about you from Merlin," I said in a low mumble.Ashley's eyes flashed in recognition as she eyed me closely. "What do you want from me?" She whispered. "Not sure what you mean, you came up to us, remember?" I said cheekily. "I don't know what game you're trying to play, but it won't work on me." She lashed quietly.I felt my mind shift and suddenly I'm watching from the sidelines. "I'm pretty sure you are quite aware," Lucifer spoke imitating my voice changing our eyes to a soulless black. Her eyes turned ember as wisps of hair licked around her through the wind and then shifted back to emerald green. "I'm going to ask, one more time. Why are you going to the lake?" She wasn't looking at us, she was looking at the naked blistered w

Chapter TwentyTwo
I took her hand and pulled her quickly to the entrance as it is only a couple dozen feet away from us.The specks of sand dusted on my bare arms felt blistered as I moved agilely towards the next sand dune, I felt my skin redden and began to blister in this ridiculous heatwave. Once I got to my destination, I fell back against the dune feeling the burning sensation on my back making me sit up straighter and bolstering despair. I looked back making sure they didn’t hear me hiss in pain, they were walking toward me. ‘Shit’ I thought in my head as I strategically moved around it trying to not wince or make any sound. I looked over to where the girls were standing, and Ariel hid on the other side holding Gracie with her hand covering Gracie’s mouth making sure she doesn’t make a sound. “That was strange I swear I heard someone or something over here.” The first soldier spoke. “I think we are just hallucinating from the heat, we are in metal suits dressed in the desert, whose b

Chapter TwentyThree
"Okay so, who are you?" Ariel questioned eying him carefully. "Ah my dear, I fear if I tell you, you will not listen." He replied a small smirk placed upon his lips. "So will you not going to tell me?" She questioned getting irritated. I kept quiet I know what happens when she gets mad. "I have to tell you, whether I want to or not, it is my duty." He sat up straighter. "Alright well, hurry up I'm very tired." She replied. He took her hand gently in his and took everything in me not to let go of my anger. "My darling girl, I am your father." His words came like swords and they were meant to cut deep. "What kind of joke is this?" Ariel half-laughed. "Its no joke Ariel, It's true." The man said holding her hand between both of his. "Lies!" She pulled her hand away as if he'd burned her. "Shall I explain?" He asked calmly. "If you were my father you would have kept me, instead of sending me off to an orphanage," she stated quieter because the dirty looks the

Chapter TwentyFour
Margons' P.O.V I stood over the hills of the town of Playtom, you could smell the food and beer from here. My eye socket encrusted with blood, the one who stole my concubine will be killed and slaughtered. I could smell the magic in the air, the lust of killing was also quite strong. "Little concubine I can smell you from here, did you really think that it was over?" I mumbled under my breath. "Sir we have news," Garofalo stated. "Well what is it?" I demanded. "Sir we have gotten news that King Arthur has been reincarnated and he may or may not be located here." He explained. "That's ridiculous, King Arthur's been dead for over a milionia and reincarnation is a myth." I stated. "We know that sir but he's been seen here." Garofalo stated once more. "Then I reckon we must move quickly." I say loud enough for my group to hear me. "Yes sir!" They exclaimed. A knights P.O.V "I think we went the wrong way," Galaine insisted. "Why do you suppose that?" I question

Chapter TwentyFive
Luke’s P.O.V “Just chatting amongst myself,” I replied. “You’re weird,” He commented with his face skewered at his opinion of me, I Shrugged ignoring him. “Hey, mister wanna buy a newspaper?” He asked as he held it toward me. “No, thanks,” I said starting to walk away. “Awe come on, I need to make money for some food for my sisters.” the small boy said in despair. I stopped in my tracks as I had a sudden memory about how awful it was being back on those streets of mudhaven panning and pickpocketing for hours just to get enough money for a slice of bread. I took a breath as I effortlessly put my hands in my pockets looking for a change, knowing I had none, and instead of an empty pocket, I found coins in place. I was shocked, where did all this money come from? I gave him five dollars, and he passed me a newspaper and went in his change hat, and started picking up change. “Keep the change kid,” I said walking away. “A-are you sure?” He called after me. “You need

Chapter TwentySix
I have to make it to Ariel quickly before they find her alone. Quietly I made my way through the alley the cobblestoned walls rough and rigid as I placed my hand against it cautiously. I took a peek around the wall where they were standing, I forgot how large and muscular they were. "The only way for you to defeat them is if you let me take full control." Lucifer objectified. "Since when do you ask or need permission?" I questioned rolling my eyes. "That's only partially my power, in order to use it fully I must ask your permission to do the rest." He explained gritting our teeth. "Is that like a consensual thing, or?" I questioned teasingly. "Will you shut up and answer the question," he asked irritated. I took a minute to think about it, how do I know he isn't doing this to trick me? "Sorry not going to happen." I said slyly. "Better not get caught then," Lucifer said with a grunt. That's when it happened, something caused me to lose my balance and I fell rig

Chapter TwentySeven
That's when it had finally come to my attention that that baby was me. I chased after the woman; my mother but I hit an invisible wall.I banged and body checked trying to get through screaming for her, yet no sound came out of my lungs, not even a sound came through the air choking on air.I dropped to my knees as I cried silently watching her run into the darkness between the buildings and trees; leaving me behind. She had blonde long hair that sparkled against the moonlight. The one person I'd been looking for my entire life slipped out of my fingers, and just like that she was gone and the baby; I mean me was picked up by Saint Agatha, the most loving and caring woman I had ever met.I reached out for her, but before I knew it, the nightmare ended.I awoke to a wet, cold cloth on my forehead. It seemed oddly uncomfortable so I took it off and grunted getting up off the cot. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," a female voice said in the dimly lit room.My body ceased in defense

Chapter TwentyEight
Lucifers P.O.V I did it, this time it was easy there was no need for permission, no needless bickering. All I had to do is find the strength to take control. With one swift movement I frayed and split the rope holding the horse forcing it to fall as gently onto its feet, once it hit the ground I jumped off the treant as it veered every which way to throw me off, falling onto the horses back. I quickly grabbed Ariel pulling her onto the horse behind me as the flames ate up the forest. "Let's go!" I ordered everyone to follow as we galloped through the burning treants as they screamed in agony. I didn't give a damn about these wretched things they can burn into the depths of oblivion. A treant fell in front of us blocking our only exit, screaming in high pitched agony. "It's no good, you guys won't survive!" Ashley called out. I let go of the horses reins, my eyes changed to a deep purple, placing my hands in the air I screamed. "Halt!" Time froze, the only ones that d

Chapter TwentyNine
"You all are cutting it quite close," Maylen finally answered. "Then hurry and let us through," Ashley raised her voice. It was obvious there was some heat between the two of them. "What's going on over here?" Another man trotted behind Maylen. "Nothing, everything is fine." Maylen said muttering swears under his breath. "Oh hey Ash, how are you doing?" The man asked smiling, his face shadowed by the dark fall. "I'd be better if Maylen let us through before night fall." Ashley said, slicing her words like knives. "Maylen, you know you can't,-" he got cut off. "Yeah I know. Go ahead he backed his horse away from the entrance. "Thank you," she said as we galloped behind her into the town. The man sighed and watched us go off in the distance. We made it inside, fireflies danced around the town, and a fire in the middle as women and children danced around it. "Now this is what I call magic," Ariel whispered, her eyes fluttered with anticipation. I smiled sadly for

Chapter Thirty
‘This looks like something even swine wouldn’t eat.’ Lucifer mumbles in the back of my head.‘I’m not picky.’ I comment back to Lucifer, as my stomach rumbled, we haven’t eaten since the last town over and even then I barely had a few bites. As I stuffed my face I thought about what Ariel had said about the madness. I am possessed by Lucifer, does that mean the others were also possessed and due to it they had no control.‘I don’t know much of what your on about however, you may have a point I was sent here by god himself, maybe the other sinners and people who defied him were sent back, mere mortals aren’t built to handle the devine let alone the unliving.’ Lucifer comments. The woman who had brought our food stood over us, bringing me back to the hussle and bustle of the moment.“Are the two of ye’ enjoying your meal?” She asked looking at us with a large grin, making me notice she had a few missing teeth.“Oh yes, it’s simply satisfying.” Ariel replies with a small smile.“-And you
