The Heir's Redemption/zaman
Christian stopped right in his tracks, he wasn't sure he'd heard him right, or maybe she meant something else. "Did you say, speak with Orton? As in a phone call?" He asked. Shirley shook her head, looked around the restaurant, and then nodded outside, signaling to him that she didn't want to say anything while they were still around other people. Christian quietly took her outside and they both got into the car before she sighed and turned to him, "This might sound crazy but I think Orton meets her in there." She said, As he looked at her strangely, she sighed and tried to explain, "I don't understand it either, I just know she gets in there a couple of times and then doesn't come out almost all day, she locks the door behind her and doesn't let anyone in." "I don't understand you, you think she...invites Orton to the pub and they meet? How would he get it and no one has ever seen him? The pub just has two entrances and both aren't hidden, how would he get in and out and never be

Sleep was far from Christian for the rest of the night. He could not get a wink, he tossed and turned and finally, he managed to get work done before it was 1:00 am. He still could not get the picture that Shirley had painted out of his head. He looked at the blueprint that the detective had sent him before he even arrived in the town. The pub was small and had three rooms. The bigger hall where chairs and tables were assembled for patrons, the bathroom which was closer to the back door, the kitchen area which was mostly a fridge, a sink, and a cooker, and of course the other room. The secret room. Looking at the blueprint didn't tell Christian much, it was just a small rectangular room which could have maybe been a store or even another bathroom. As much as he knew that Karen was working with Berlin, learning that she met with him at intervals was another interesting story. "Shit, what do I do?" He asked himself that night as he looked at the missed calls from Potter. There was n

A tunnel. That was what Christian was looking at. He stepped a foot on the stairwell, testing if it was sturdy and it indeed was, pulling his duffel, he slung it over one shoulder and descended the staircase carefully. The tunnel was very dark, he couldn't see anything until he turned on his flashlight and then a little light pointed down. The staircase did not wind down for much longer before he touched solid ground. The entire place was very quiet, he couldn't hear any sounds but that of crawly insects. He pulled out his phone and attempted to call one of his investigators when he noticed there was no internet connection, no Wifi, and no network. "Shit," he swore under his breath. Christian would have loved to let someone know where he was, maybe even Potter. But the thought of climbing back up there to get a single made him think twice about it, he figured he'd be fine on his own. Walking down the tunnel, he noticed that the floor was work, the path wasn't cemented or floored,

The room around him was brighter as he finally regained consciousness. He could hear voices around him, not harsh echoing like in the tunnel but more like hushed whispers. Christian did not want to let them know that he had regained consciousness, he kept his eyes as shut as he could make them appear while still seeing a glimpse of his surroundings. "Quit playing dead," a voice suddenly sounded right beside him and he flinched, he hadn't expected anyone to be that close. Christian opened his eyes and looked to his left to see the man who was seated right there, slouched in an armchair with his hands holding a cigar and a book. "So, you're finally awake, I was beginning to think I hit you too hard," the man said and Christian realized he was most likely the man in the tunnel, he'd only seen his bulky frame but not his face. Christian winced as he tried to talk, his head was aching badly and he tried to sit up but noticed he'd been tied to the small chair where he sat. "Going some

As everyone filtered out of the room, Orton closed the door behind him and then grabbed a chair from the corner to sit directly across from him. Christian was still flexing his wrist, his hands a little numb from the tight restraints. He could not believe that he'd dared get into the tunnel without any backup. He hated to think what would have happened if Orton hadn't known his family, his father. "What do you want with Otec?" Orton asked him after a minute of just staring at him. “I need them to sign a contract with the Robinson family, there's a lot at stake," Christian explained, he didn't want to sound desperate by giving him the details, he'd learned long ago that people couldn't be trusted with any information that made one look vulnerable. "I don't think Otec wants to partner with the Robinson family," Orton said, there was a decisiveness in his tone, "And for good reason too." He added. "But...you said you would have me, you said you'd give me whatever I asked," Christian

The exit of the tunnel led to a small boutique that was on the outskirts of town, close to where the train station was. As he climbed up to the stairwell and pushed the door open, he noticed that no one seemed interested in him even though they'd seen him crawl out of the ground. The receptionist at the desk simply looked at him blankly as he walked out the door and Christian figured that the establishment belonged to Orton, a way of making the tunnel he'd made. It was a brilliant idea, there was no way someone could guess that there was an entire world down there, an entire company. Chris could not get to his car that morning, he'd barely been able to get home in time for a change of outfit before he headed down to Otec - again. This was his second time parked outside the gigantic building and he didn't fail to marvel at the beauty of it all. He sighed as he pulled out the proposal from his dashboard and clutched the token that Orton had given him firmly in his grip. Coming down

Hope is a formidable force, even a single ray can light up the darkest abyss. Christian Robinson could attest to this as he woke up that morning, feeling a lot better than he'd slept. He had a feeling that the world was aligning right where it ought to be and he was at the helm of it all - where he'd always wanted. "Sir, your suit just arrived," his servant bowed as he entered the room. Christian hadn't heard him knock but he was sure he had, he'd no doubt been too lost in thought to hear. "Thank you, I'll be right out." He replied and the man nodded as he left. He looked again at the mirror and smirked, his crisp white shirt was tucked beautifully into his black trousers, and his shoe just a little shiny. He'd called back his servants the previous evening just as he'd gotten that token from Berlin. He had a feeling his life was about to change for good, he had a gut feeling. Christian left the room and took the suit from the servant as he got to his car - he'd decided he was dri

The Heir's Redemption/zaman
Pa Pete was hesitant to begin the proceedings of the meeting and everyone on the table noticed, especially Chris who was just right beside him.Sonya must have noticed too because she smiled and said mockingly, "Are your feet getting heavier for you, Pa Pete? Perhaps it's not just your grandson that needs replacing, you too might be getting a little too old for that seat." Pete ignored her and looked at Christian who calmly nodded at him, a silent approval to commence the meeting. There was no need to wait, it wouldn't change the outcome of the meeting anyway. The orbits were right behind Jupiter, all six of them stood like rods, stuff, unyielding, with their hands crossed. Pete looked at them scornfully and then cleared his throat a little too loud. "Is there something you have to say? We don't have all day, Pete." Sonya said, her lips still bearing the same smile she'd exited the vehicle with that morning. "I think we all know what I'm about to say," Pete said, looking at member

Sonya took the flowers and had half the mind to toss it in his face but she had to reign in her temper. She instead snatched it up aggressively and tossed it at one of the Orbits who held it like it burned. "What do you have to say concerning the challenge you called, Christian? Are you having a change of heart?" She asked and immediately one of the board members said loudly, "He can't do that! The entire board knows about it and we won't allow such cowardice!" The man snapped. "Who said anything about backing out?" Christian asked and the man began to stammer foolishly before sitting down. Jupiter was pleased with the way they all treated Chris, everyone was attacking him. "Will we all let him speak?" Pete snapped, his voice rising above the others. Christian rose and nodded at the roses he'd just gifted Sonya, "I picked those out myself, it's a shame you won't even appreciate it," he said and Sonya rolled her eyes, "I didn't recall asking you for any flowers, Chris, last I checke

Sonya did not look so confident anymore, her weak bones trembled and she quickly grabbed onto the desk for support. Christian still wore a smirk on his face as his grandfather, Pa Pete looked warily at the document on the desk."You got the deal?" He asked, his tone disbelieving. Christian did not reply, at least not verbally, he remained standing with a smile on his face. "This is ridiculous!" Sonya yelled, "There is no way this boy could secure a deal with Otec, there is also no way in hell that he knows Orton Berlin," she snapped. Christian dipped his hands into his breast pocket and retrieved the token that Orton had given to him, he did not bother handing it to her but simply slammed it on the table. With shaky wrinkled hands, Sonya picked up the token, she turned pale, her eyes wide in shock. "But how! I have been dying to meet this man all my life, how could you get the Supreme token?" Sonya asked, still in disbelief. "You are not the only one that can weasel your way into p
