Leonard got to the hospital late at night, but even the night shift seemed a lot busier than he had anticipated. I found his way through the crowd of people and got to the hallway that led to his daughter’s private ward.‘God, I hate hospitals,’ he thought to himself and creased his nose before heading into her ward.
