Ansel was a bit stunned by Thora's support. He hadn't expected it, especially because they never get along well.In response to Thora's support, Ansel cleared his throat to regain his composure. With a playful glint in his eye, he turned to Chris, offering a quick wink that showed a slight hint of mockery.Chris abruptly left the room, his frustration showing on his facial expression. The others exchanged glances, their postures tensing for a moment before the atmosphere returned back into its previous state and everyone started to discuss amongst themselves. After a while, Chris returned, still simmering with annoyance but maintaining enough control not to cause a scene."Fine," Chris uttered, his tone sharp as he took his seat. "If everyone else wants to accept Ansel, that's their business. But I won't stand for it. Ansel will never be my brother-in-law, and that's that." He punctuated his words with a series of irritated taps on the table, his fingers drumming out an angry rhythm.
