chapter forty one
Jason stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his uniform. His body still ached from the fight with Ethan, but he pushed through the pain. He needed to focus on the task Fiona had given him. The promise of money was tempting, especially after the humiliation he had faced. He glanced at the crumpled bills in his pocket, thinking about how he could use that money to pay his tuition and maybe even buy a few things he wanted. But the memory of Irene lingered in his mind. She had helped him when he was down, and her smile made him feel seen. He didn’t know why he thought about her, especially after all the trouble Elena, Linda, and Fiona had caused him. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. Now was not the time for distractions. He had to figure out how to retrieve the safe that Fiona wanted. Jason took a deep breath and grabbed his backpack. He headed out of his small apartment, ready to face the day. The sun was bright, and students were everywhere, chatting and laughing

chapter forty two
Jason woke up early, though he hadn’t slept much. The weight of his promise to Fiona was all he could think about. Ethan and his minions had released Thier grip over him a little, making it easy for him to walk freely inside the school. Maybe they forgot all about him, or maybe Ethan was planning something bigger or wicked for him.He had agreed to get the safe, and Fiona wasn’t the type to let things slide. Still, Irene’s smile flashed in his mind. She had given him a moment of peace, a reason to think maybe things could be different. But this task would pull him right back into the mess he was trying to escape. His mind went back to Eric, who hasn't reached out to him ever since he was thrown out of the mansion.Jason dressed quickly, grabbing his backpack, and checked his phone. No new messages from Fiona, but he knew she was waiting. She was always watching. At school, Jason tried to blend into the crowd, but as he walked toward his locker, he spotted Fiona leaning against the wal

chapter forty three
Jason's heart thudded faster, hoping to see who it was. His heart nearly collapsing at the thought of Aunt Camilla finding out that he was the thief hiding behind the curtain. He was now a stranger, having no link to the Carter's family. The sound of the beeping lock was heard, and the door finally opened. Jason froze when he saw that it was Eric. A lot of thoughts ran through his mind. "What was Erick looking for? Did he know about the safe all along?" He looked at him as he glanced at the top of the shelf. Eric closed the door behind him and later walked out. Jason knew it was his time to act. He quickly brought out his back and hid the age inside it. He opened the door slowly and made sure no one was around the hallway. He stealthily walked through the corridor down to the path he came in. Once outside the mansion, he sighed and immediately flagged down a taxi to take him home. Jason felt elated; he was on top of the world as he looked at the safe right under his nose. His mi

Fiona was hard to resist. She was persistent and always got what she wanted. They weren't related anyway, so why should Jason hold back? Fiona was surprised as her tongue found its way into his mouth. He was not rejecting her and was accepting her instead. Fiona closed her eyes as her hands found their way into Jason's pants. "I want all of you. I want now." Fiona said, slowly giving in to the pleasure. Jason took off his shirt, revealing his tough muscles. He carried Fiona onto the little bed he had in a corner of the room. "I want you to take it off." She said it with fire in her eyes. "Have you done it before?" Fiona asked Jason knew he was a virgin, and this would be his first time. "No, I haven't, but I am willing to try." The word was enticing to Fiona. She was going to be the first to disinfect him. "Okay then, follow my lead." She said slowly getting up from the bed.She pushed Jason to the bed and slowly took off her clothes. Jason's heart raced; he had never see

chapter forty five
Jason leaned forward, his eyes steady and serious, as he gave Fiona the passcode. Fiona's confidence wavered for a second, a look of doubt flickering across her face. She never expected Jason, the guy she thought she could control, to know something so valuable."Try it," Jason said calmly, leaning back against the old sofa.Fiona approached the safe, her fingers tapping out the numbers he’d given her. The lock beeped, and then, with a soft click, the safe opened. Fiona’s eyes widened in surprise. She couldn’t hide the shock from her face as she pulled out a stack of documents."What is all this?" she demanded, her voice filled with disbelief. She had expected the safe to hold something more meaningful than what she was staring at. But these documents seemed important.Jason stood up, keeping his gaze fixed on her. "It’s everything your family wanted to hide. All the dirty secrets, the deals that could ruin them if they got out. You think you have control, Fiona, but maybe you never d

Fiona walked closer to Irene and Jason. "I think I told you that he is taken." Fiona said with a kelous voice, making Jason feel a little bothered. He wasn't sure anymore if she was actually joking or she was being serious. "What do you want this time?" Jason asked "Can't I say hello to you anymore?* Fiona replied, folding her hands. "I think I need to be on my way now, Jason." Irene said, slightly drawing her hair to the back of her ear. "Can you just..." Jason was about to say another word, but Fiona stopped him. "He won't be seeing you off." She said casually, and Irene walked away. "What is that? What do you really want from me? I gave you the save like you requested." Jason looked up, his face turning red. "I deed you." Fiona said, drawing Jason closer. "NNeed me? That sounds weird coming from a girl that wanted me off the Carter's list. What do you want from me?" "I read the last will of my grandfather, and I think you are part of the family. Why don't you help me defeat C

Jason went through the video, and he felt teary. He had always thought he was alone. A nobody, after Marcus left the school he had been alone without friends. The thought that the Carter family was going to be his solitude was all he could think of, but then everything went south with the death of his grandfather. The video wasn't saying much about who his father was or why he was killed, but Jason was the sole heir to the vast properties of the Carter's family. He removed the USB and kept it safe in his pocket. This was a life changer for him; the thought of leading the Carter family was no joke. Jason knew he couldn't trust anybody at a time like this, not even Eric. He had seen him enter Camilla's room for the same safe he had come to carry. Jason picked up his phone, and a message popped up. A smile appeared on his lips, thinking it was Irene, but it slowly faded away when he saw it was Fiona. "She knows." The message was short and brief. "Who knows?" Jason said, dropping the

Many of the students could not believe it was Jason getting down from the car. Fiona was equally surprised to see him. How did he manage to afford this? That was what many of the students thought, and their words and emotions were conveyed to Jason. He smiled each time, seeing he could get their attention, but he wanted Irene to notice him. Jason looked around, trying to catch a glimpse of her before Fiona ran towards him. "Not now, Fiona. I don't want to do this tonight." Jason said he was trying to wave her off. "Aunt Camilla. She knew you were in the house." She said with a frightened look. Jason's mind went back to the scenario that happened at his house. But how Camilla knew his house was a mystery to him. " So?" Jason looked at her without blinking. "Does she have any proof I stole anything from her?" Fiona was shocked to see that he was bold. "Are you not scared of what she might do to you?" She asked, but their talk was interrupted by Ethan as he walked closer to them. "W

"Where is t?" A voice shouted at Jason. The clanging out and the lamp light in his front were making his eyes hurt. "It hurts." Jason said slowly, not sure what his captors wanted from him. He remembered he had gotten a text message from Marcus telling him to wet him at the school field. Jason opened his eyes wide again; the situation was dawning on him. "Where am I?" He shouted at the strange, dark figure seated in front of him. "I don't think it would be any good to ask me any questions. I do the asking, and you tell me what I need to know," the voice replied. "Ethan, is that you? Release me right now!" Jason shouted in anger, and the voice laughed again. "Do you think this is some child place? You are going to tell me what I need to know or you won't leave here alive." The voice sounded mean this time. "You are bluffing!" Jason shouted at him, and the electric wire tied to the armchair zapped him. "yee!" Jason let out a voice of pain. "Somebody help me!" He yelled even mor

Marcus got to the garden and didn't see Jason. He saw some movement on the floor and a bit of blood. Marcus picked up Jason's phone on the ground and saw he had come to the garden when he saw his message. He looked back, and he saw a beautiful girl walking towards him. "Where is Jason? Have you seen him?" Irene asked, looking at Marcus. "And you are?" Marcus asked, looking at her strangely. Irene snatched the phone from his hands. "What are you doing with Jason's phone, and where is he? The prom is starting anytime soon." Irene said, looking at Marcus face. "I am not sure you know who I am, but if you look at the message on that phone, you would know I and Jason. are best friends. Who are you to him because the last time I checked, Jason didn't have a girlfriend, and the one he had made his life miserable." Marcus looked at her face. "Well, I am Irene, Jason's girlfriend." She said it with her hands stretched out. " Girlfriend? Why hasn't he mentioned you?" Marcus didn't bother to
