CHAPTER TWELVEThe car sped through the streets, weaving in and out of traffic. Jim and Rachel were being chased by Victor's men, and they had to get away.As they turned a corner, Jim saw a small alleyway up ahead. "Turn here!" he shouted to the driver.The driver swerved into the alleyway, and Jim and Rachel held on tight. The car screeched to a halt, and Jim and Rachel jumped out."Where are we?" Jim asked the driver.The driver smiled. "You're safe now," he said. "This is a safe house. You'll be protected here."Jim's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. Who was this driver? They were trying to come up with a plan to take down Victor and his men."We need to get to Victor's headquarters," Jim said, his finger tracing the route on the map.
