The day drew to an eventful close and Kendrick left work, he had averted the expenses made at office, and all that was in his mind was to change the MDs changing them to separate branches.

He got out of his office to meet Precious sitting at her desk, her fingers busy on the keyboard. Surprised, Kendrick thought, "she should have closed for the day. Why was she at work till that hour?"

When he got to her desk, she turned to him as though frightened by his sight. "Why are you not closed for the day?"
