CHAPTER 161.

Kendrick, now in between two police officers sat with a calmness that made his mind ponder on what would be the last stick, which he could use in breaking the camel’s back. His mind still reeling as they sped into the station.

After a long rickety drive that made him hit his head against the hard irons of the police van, they turned into the station like a convoy of armies arriving the enemies camp. Kendrick dropped just after the officer that sat behind him as though he was guarding Kendrick from breaking and jumping out of the window.
