“Oh my God!” Lisa squeaked, her hands flying to her mouth as she gasped.

Her outburst caught everyone’s attention—Bridgette especially. Startled, she nearly spilled water all over herself.

She stared at her phone's screen with shock in her eyes.

“What is it Lisa?” She asked nonchalantly, rolling her eyes. She knew how dramatic her friend could be.

“I can't believe I made a video of us last night.” She said, staring at her phone excitedly.

“Let me see_” Bridgette leaned closer to her in order to have a look.

Ramon glanced at the rearview immediately, his heart beating fast in his chest; he almost collided with an incoming vehicle.

It almost happened!

“Hey watch the road!” Bridgette screamed just in time for him to avoid the truck that was coming in front of them on its own lane.

“Won't you watch where you're going?” She scolded, half yelling.

“I'm sorry ma'am.” He apologized. His eyes falling between the rearview and the road… he wished he could see the video. His grip on the steering

“Nothing. It just came out wrong.” Lisa shook her head, trying to deny what was already said but it was already too late, she already heard.“No it came out right! I heard you and I want to know!” She insisted.“Fine!” Lisa snapped. “He paid for the bills. This trip was his idea because he wanted you to have a little life and stop crying over your dead husband.” She confessed.Bridgette’s hand ran over her mouth as she gasped. “I thought this was girl's time out!” She said, looking gloomy, her eyes watery.“This was all a sham?!” She realized. “You didn't do this for us.” She said, her voice low and hurt.“You only agreed to do this because Xavier paid you to.” She added, the weight of disappointment and betrayal heavy in her heart—her voice shaky.“Of course not Bridgette. I did want to come on this trip not just for the money.” Lisa said in her defense.“Oh so he did pay you.” Bridgette confirmed her suspicion. “No wonder…” she sighed. “You never had time for me. She walked away quietly and sat by the edge of her bed. Meanwhile, Lisa ushered herself in.“We have to get that video.” She said, her resolve unwavering. “I knew I would never let myself go to Ramon no matter how drunk I must've been. I want to watch it and see for myself. I want to be sure about everything that happened.” She spoke with so much conviction. Lisa knew she must've given this a lot of thought.“So what if it's true? What do we do?” Lisa said, expressing her fears.“What if it's not true–” Bridgette countered.“Even though it's not— we still have to pay him off or he'll release it and I know my job would be at stack if it gets out.” Lisa said.“Well. I don't believe I kissed Ramon or had any affair with him… I feel it was staged. They did that to blackmail us and extort money from us.” she said boldly. “I don't know for you though but I think I have a vague memory of you serving yourself two di.cks. One up your mouth and the other up in your as.s.” Bridgette said, she h

What?” Bridgette exclaimed, gobsmacked and astonished. “How's this even possible?” She questioned. “Who else knew we were coming?”Lisa was quiet, strangely calm this time, Bridgette turned to her, her face gauging with frustration.“You were right.” She said, finally speaking up, her mind going through a lot of processing.“No one knew we'd be here except Ramon who suggested the club to us. I think he framed us.” She spoke— the revelation of the whole scene finally hitting her.“Think about it, why did he take so long getting us drinks?” She probed. “__ he literally led us to this room and after then he went to grab us a drink and took hours. We invited the strippers and even ordered drinks before he arrived. He must've placed a mole amongst one of them,” she thought, her hands on her chin.“Someone who took the photos. Deliberately putting himself in the frames to look innocent—as if he knew we'd call for the strippers. The pole in the room was also there for a reason, probably he d

She gave a knowing smile. “That was close, wasn’t it?”Bridgette let out a heavy sigh. “I’m just glad it’s all behind us now.”The vehicle eventually pulled up in front of the mansion’s towering gates. But instead of the familiar gesture to open them, the guards remained still.“What do you mean I’m not allowed access?” Bridgette’s tone was sharp as she leaned out of t

Xavier froze, his heart pounding in shock. Kendrick’s voice was weak, halting, but it was unmistakably his and audible.Kendrick struggled to sit up, his movements clumsy and frantic as he reached for the phone, his stuttering growing more insistent. On the other end, Bridgette’s voice rang out. “Hello? Is everything okay? Are you with someone? Xavier, hello? Who’s that? Are you still there? Hello?”Xavier pressed his hand over the phone’s mouthpiece, silencing her voice and stopping her from hearing Kendrick's stammering voices lest she recognizes it and starts asking unending questions. He stared at Kendrick, torn between disbelief and hope.“I’ll call you right back,” he said hastily, ending the call before Bridgette could ask any more questions.Kendrick, frustrated that he wasn't given a chance to speak with Bridgette slumped back against the bed, his breathing ragged. But as she glared into Xavier’s eyes, his expression remained impassive, his gaze impenetrable behind his glasses. He was unshaken.“Don’t go around spilling threats to your suspects,” Xavier said after a long pause, his voice cold and even. “Not everyone will sit back and wait for you to make the first move. A person who declares his plans to his enemy is as good as a dead man.” he spoke. His words stung, delivered with an unsettling calmness. He leaned in slightly, close to her ear, his tone dropping to a whisper. “Think
