He didn't need anyone to tell him he was in trouble, he already knew he was in trouble. At this moment, every single fear circuit he had stopped creating an imaginary fear of ghosts. They all focused on the real one right in front of him.

Normally, he didn't deal much with Ada, in fact he avoided her like a plague. She was the first daughter of the family and she had a pride that even Lady Barbara would salute in front. Now that she was pregnant, she felt irritated easier and most of the time anyone beside her is usually the one who has to bear the brunt of her incessant and unpredictable burst of anger.

Currently, he was the one beside her and to make matters worse, it felt as if she had been looking for him. He sighed and just held his cheeks as if it really stung him that hard to buy time and cook up a lie. He just realized that the excitement he'd felt today was about to make a cartwheel and haunt him.
