Palmer felt on edge while he sat in a circle of people more fierce than he had ever worked with, a younger man who had a stern expression sat at the end of the table, his chair facing the window, his back against the rest of them who sat in the room.

“Grey” the man called out, making Palmer lose his composure “Ye..yes sir” he answered, his voice low and shaky “You said you wouldn’t make your granddaughter continue in your footsteps, didn’t you?” The man asked, his voice was cold “Yes sir” Palmer answered.

“Then who’s going to take after you then” the man said in a rather calm voice as all eyes turned to Palmer, his face becoming pale, “My soon-to-be grandson-in-law, he’s more than capable,” the old man said in a frail voice. “Well then, do well to have him see me,” the man said in a cold voice as Palmer took his seat.

After the meeting, the men left the room, going to the various destinations “He still gives me a mild heart attack whenever I see him” Palmer said to the man walking by
