The man with the safe clutched tightly to his chest ran through the shadows, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he fled from the scene of his crime. His heart pounded in his chest, a mix of adrenaline and fear coursing through his veins.

He could hear the sounds of sirens in the distance, and the wailing of police cars as they raced towards the scene. But he knew he had a head start, knew that he could outrun them if he was fast enough.

He reached the edge of the lawn, his eyes darting around for any signs of pursuit.
