Ch 6: Saving The Old Man

Currently, that little girl wasn't the only one looking at Ethan. Everyone else was looking at him as well.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Ethan crouched down and grabbed one of the old man's rough palms. He just held the old man's hand and did not move at all.

"Puchi!"

The surrounding crowd couldn't help but laugh out loud. After all, they'd already suspected him to be a fraud. In their eyes, he was a pervert who was trying to attract the attention of a little girl who was not even 18 yet.

"What do you guys think he's doing?"

"I don't know, but it's definitely not about treating patients."

"Heh, I thought he may have some ability, but it turns out he is here to make a fool of himself!"

"I've never seen a person who can cure heart attack by holding hands."

All kinds of doubts and mockery flooded over like a tidal wave, but Ethan remained silent and calm. He seemed to be motionless, but in reality, there were traces of white mist that could not be seen by the naked eye being sent into the old man's body.

This was the Stellar Dust Ethan had cultivated in the past six years. After all, he came in contact with the true face of this world and true martial arts when he was twenty, and now, he was twenty-six.

The stellar dust rapidly flowed through the old man's veins, flesh, and cells before finally gathering at the old man's heart.

If there was any medical equipment or apparatus here, one could see that the old man's beating heart was gradually calming down and was moving closer to the heart rate of a normal person.

However, the little girl didn't know about all this. She only saw Ethan holding her grandfather's hand, not moving at all. Disappointment and sadness slowly appeared in her watery eyes.

"Alright! Young man, stop fooling around!"

A middle-aged man seemed to be unable to continue watching. Walking out of the crowd, he frowned and berated Ethan, "If you don't know how to help a person during a heart attack, then don't go up and mess around. Is it fun to give people hope and then cause them to be disappointed?"

The crowd was stirred as well. They started to criticize and scold one after another, telling Ethan to scram. Some of them felt sorry for the little girl. They were angry because Ethan had lied to her, so they started to scold Ethan.

Ethan immediately became a target of dozens of people.

Seeing so many people cooperating with him, the middle-aged man became full of confidence. He reached out his hand to grab Ethan's shoulder arrogantly, and shouted, "Stop playing games here. Did you not hear that? I said stop and scram!"

Ethan didn't even turn his head around. His left hand casually pointed backwards and an invisible force hit the middle-aged man's right leg.

The middle-aged man fell to the ground with a thump. He wanted to stand up, but his right leg no longer felt anything. No matter how he pinched it, it wouldn't hurt. Simply put, his right leg gave no reaction at all.

Panic struck his heart as he started screaming, "My leg! How can I not feel my leg? What did you do to my leg?"

Everyone's curses came to an abrupt stop as they looked in astonishment at the middle-aged man who had collapsed to the ground. They frowned but didn't think this had anything to do with Ethan. After all, Ethan hadn't even touched the middle-aged man when he suddenly fell and started screaming.

They thought that this middle-aged man was putting on a show to teach Ethan a lesson, or something like that.

On the other hand, Ethan turned at the middle-aged man and spoke coldly, "Shut up, otherwise, you won't be able to feel your mouth as well. Your leg will be fine in a while."

His cold words immediately caused the middle-aged man to shut up. He no longer dared to scream in fear. He had clearly seen a flash of red in Ethan's eyes, as if Ethan was a devil.

The middle-aged man was now feeling extremely regretful in his heart. He doesn't know how Ethan had done it, but it is clear he is not an ordinary person.

Ethan turned to the old man and continued to use his stellar dust to cleanse the old man's body and help his heart grow healthier bit by bit.

Gradually, the old man's flushed face returned to normal, and he was no longer breathing fast.

Seeing this scene, the little girl wiped away her tears in a hurry and exclaimed in surprise, "Grandfather seems to be getting fine!"

The surrounding people were amazed and puzzled at the same time. They don't know what Ethan has done, but the old many truly seems to be getting better. All they had seen was Ethan holding the old man's hand, and in just a while, the old man got better.

Who could even explain this scientifically?

"How did the old man get better?"

"Is it his doing?"

"I don't think so. He is just holding the old man's hand. The old man must have gotten better on his own. After all, I heard that people's bodies fight even deathly diseases fiercely when a person doesn't lose hope and wants to get better. This brat is just lucky!"

"Yes, that must be the case!"

People do know how to speak justifiably based on their own speculation. Ethan had nothing to say or speak about this. These people simply don't deserve his explanation.

Ethan smiled at the little girl and then stood up, saying, "Your grandpa is fine now. He'll wake up in just a few minutes. After he wakes up, it won't be a problem even if he wants to walk to the hospital himself."

Although he helped the old man, the old man was only fine for now. He still has to visit the hospital and get proper treatment.

Ethan helped the old man only because he sensed traces of stellar dust in his body.

"Wait! I have yet to thank you. May I know your name?" The little girl hurriedly stopped Ethan when she saw that he was about to leave.

"My name is Ethan Graves, and there is no need to thank me. I saved him not because I am a good person, I saved him because I sensed something special about him."

Ethan smiled at the little girl and patted her head. Then he turned and left. Before leaving, he left a few words, "We'll meet again if fate wills it, little beauty."
