Now, because it has been passed many times, a path has been formed leading to the river. Julia finds no difficulty at all following it.

A few moments later, she hears Zoe’s excited laughter. She stands behind the bushes, observing Zoe who is completely naked, having fun in the freshwater.

“Come on, Cynthia! Take off your clothes!” Zoe invites in half shouting.

“Naaah!” Cynthia declines as she keeps skinning the dead rhea with a knife. “It’s going to take a while for me to clean a chicken this big. I’m dead hungry. I want to grill this one as soon as possible.”

Julia stays there for quite a while, with whatever kind of thought she has in her mind.

As she keeps observing them, Julia’s grip on the crowbar is getting tightened. Her face looks so sour full of emotion, unlike the pitiful pale face she has been showing inside Serene Den.

She steps forward, but accidentally steps on a dry twig. Immediately, she gets down right before Cynthia looks in her direction.

Cynthia abandons her work.
