'Why am I here again?' Shane asked himself as he blankly stared at the blackboard while the teacher explained some subject that he clearly wouldn't have an actual use in real life, yawning and fighting against his falling eyelids in order to stay awake.
His idea was to remain at home saying that he was sick or something, but his dad didn't buy it and kicked him out first thing in the morning.
'How much longer do I have to endure this torture?' he gave a quick look at the clock hung on the wall, it read 9:35 am, which made him groan.
'Why does time move so fucking slow at school!?'
He had tried to skip classes again, but since this time he managed to arrive in time, even though he walked really, and I mean reeealllyy slow. The teacher just dragged him in before he had time to flee, and now he's stuck listening to this boring lesson.
'Why did I enroll in this school anyway? I hate studying'
Then he remembered why, his parents.
They wanted him to become someone with a bright future and career, hence why they kept pushing him to study more.
It's not because they cared about their son or his future, no no. It was just because they wanted him to support them financially when they wouldn't be able to work anymore. This way, they could live an easy, layed down life, without ever worrying about money.
"Those bastards" he mumbled.
"Shane Williams!" the teacher called, startling him awake. He might have dozed off for a bit, because the writings on the board were completely different from the ones he previously recalled.
"What did you just call me?!" the whole class was staring at him.
'Just my luck'
"N-nothing prof, I didn't say anything" he muttered out.
"Oh is that so? Then why don't you answer the question I just posed to the class? If you give me the wrong answer, everyone gets extra homework"
The stares from his classmates immediately turned from curious to angry, some were actively glaring at him. He even saw a few buffed guys, who are probably bullies, drag their finger across their neck, like to say 'Get it right or we'll kill you'
Shane took in a shaky breath, trying to calm his nerves. Alex taught him how to fight a little, and he does work out pretty often, but Shane knew he still wouldn't stand a chance against those gorillas! They would wipe the floor with him.
"W-what's the question again?" the teacher grinned "What's the only animal that can fly even though it doesn't have feathers?"
'Of course, it's a biology class, why was I hoping in an easy question?'
"I'll give you two tries since I'm feeling generous today"
'You're not feeling generous, you just love to see me suffer' he thought with a frown, clenching his fists in anger. He gave it some thought before giving an answer.
"A... flying squirrel?"
"Wrong" the whole class groaned, the bully's glare becoming more intense "Last chance Shane, you better get it right if you don't want the whole class to hate you"
'Pretty sure they already hate me as much as I hate you'
Shane kept thinking, mashing his brains up, but nothing came in his mind, his eyes darted left and right around the class, looking for a clue, a sign or someone who was willing to help.
And by the grace of God, a single soul answered his call.
A girl with long, dirty blonde hair and blue eyes was staring at him, trying to get his attention. She was pointing at her textbook, which was opened on a page where a bat was shown.
'A bat! Of course!'
Shane brought his gaze back at the teacher, a confident smile appearing on his face as he answered "A ba-"
Riiiiing.
The whole class cheered, quickly packing their stuff and starting to leave.
"You're one lucky motherfucker Shane, the bell saved your ass this time" the teacher said as he too, gathered his stuff "Be sure to pay attention to my future classes, I'm sure we don't want to repeat the same mistake again now, do we?" and left.
"Son of a bitch" he muttered, standing up and heading to his next class.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, that was a nightmare" Shane mumbled as he walked out of his last class for the day. It was 4 pm and he was done with anything and anyone at this point, he just wanted to head home and do nothing for the rest of his life. Not day. Life.
That's when he saw the girl who helped him during the biology class walk past him.
"Hey" he called, stopping her and quickly catching up "Thank's for the help" she nodded "You don't need to thank me, that teacher is an asshole, he does that to everyone" she said with a smile.
"Still, thank you. I'm Shane" he offered his hand but she just laughed "What are you? 40?" she offered a fist bump and he snickered, returning the gesture "The name's Bianca"
"Nice to meet you, wanna exchange numbers?"
"No beating around the bush I see huh? Straight to the point, I like that. Here" she handed him a crumpled up piece of paper "Give me a call later k? I gotta dip now, my dad is waiting for me at home and he'll get grumpy if I come back late. See ya around Shane" she quickly ran away, waving at him.
"See ya" he waved back, starting to walk back towards his house, heart fluttering a bit.
He kept walking for a while, head buried deep in his thoughts, so much so that he didn't notice someone approaching him and then place a hand on his shoulder.
"The fuck happened to you?" a voice called, scaring him "Alex!" he breathed out "Stop scaring me like that!" his friend just blankly stared back "Dude, I literally called your name like, three times, and you didn't answer, don't blame me if you have your head in the clouds" he just shook his head in disappointment.
"Whatever, why are you here?"
"What do you mean? You're the one who texted me asking to meet you after school"
"Oh... right" he facepalmed, having completely forgotten about that. Right after the raccoon incident, he sent a message to him asking if they could meet, he wanted to talk to him about what had happened.
"Sorry, it has been one hella of a day, a teacher targeted me" Alex nodded "Yeah they do that, they are assholes after all" he quickly changed argument "So anyway, about that Slenderman news I was telling you about yesterday" Shane groaned, listening to his rant as they walked home.
After about half an hour, he admitted that the news had been debunked this morning "Then why the fuck did you tell me the whole story anyway?!?" he shrugged "Just cuz"
"Can I talk now?" Shane said with an annoyed glare.
"Sure dude, but what do you have that could be more interesting tha-"
"Someone was standing in front of our house yesterday" he said in a serious tone.
"So? People sometimes do that when they look at things" he didn't see anything off about it.
"Not at 3 am dude"
"3 AM!?" he screamed, making Shane flinch "Don't shout, I can hear you perfectly fine"
"Why were you awake in the first place? I mean, don't get me wrong, I know that your sleep schedule is even more fucked up than mine, but you told me you were tired and wanted to sleep... don't tell me you..." he gasped "Did you have a gaming marathon without me" he whined "I feel betrayed"
"No I didn't have a gaming marathon you idiot. I just woke up because some raccoons messed with our garbage bins again and made noises. I went to fix it and when I was about to go back inside. Bam! Weird ass dude standing right outside our lawn, staring at me, and you know what's even weirder?" Alex shook his head, his focus completely on Shane, his eyes shining like a kid's who had been told that Santa was real.
"He was dressed in a whole ass business suit, like black smoking and red tie" Alex gasped "THAT'S THE SLANDERMAN!!"
I just gave him a "-_-" face.
"Dude, are you serious? That's just a creepypasta, the man I saw was real"
"Did you see his face?!"
"Well... it was dark, so no"
"Did he have hair?"
"No"
"Skin color?"
"Very pale I think? But again, it was dark" he said, now even more annoyed.
"Dude, that's the perfect description of the Slanderman"
"Alex, read my lips ok?. The Slanderman, isn't, fucking, real" he said slowly with a hint of rage, defining every word "Now, do you have some REAL advice to give me or not? Cuz if you don't then you can just fuck off"
Alex just sighed "Alright alright, don't get angry dude, you are scary when you're mad" Shane just snorted "You're older than me, how the fuck do I scare you?"
"You fucking work out that's how! How do you think it is to have an angry, buffed teenager in front of you" he shivered "It really gets you man" Shane just laughed "You know I would never hurt you"
"Never?"
"Well, unless you really piss me off"
"Noooo" they both ended up laughing it off.
"But in all seriousness mate, you probably should consider installing some cameras or some shit"
"I mean, would that work? They could just break it"
"True, but most people tend to back off when they see one" he nodded, considering the option "One problem though, my family will never pay for it" he groaned at the thought "So I'll have to use my money"
"Jeez your parents really hate you huh? Don't you get like, a weekly pay?" he nodded "5 bucks"
"5 BUCKS?! DUDE THAT'S WHAT I IMAGINED YOUR SISTER WOULD GET BUT YOU?" he just shrugged "My parents are really stingy with money, what can I say" he sighed "And it's not me who they hate... at least I get a weekly pay"
"You mean to tell me they don't give Angela any?" he shook his head "Not even a dime. Most of the times I end up giving her mine, so she can at least go out with her friends and get an icecream"
"Man, they really hate your si-"
"Don't" Alex froze "Don't finish that sentence" he warned "Alright calm down Shane, Jesus! I'm not your parents, don't get mad at me!"
Shane shook his head, snapping out of it 'Why am I getting mad at him? He's my friend'
"Sorry I just... I tend to get defensive-"
"-when someone talks shit about your sister, yeah I get it" he pulled him under his arm, ruffling up his hair "You're such a big brother aren't you? Caring for your little sister? Who's the good big brother huh? Who's a good brother? You are, oh yes you are" he teased.
"Get off me you hairy gorilla!"
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A GORILLA, PUNK!?"
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A PUNK, GORILLA!?"
"Are you two done?" a female voice called, they looked around but couldn't find anyone "Up here you idiots" they looked up and saw Angela staring at them from her window with an unamused look on her face "Someone here is trying to study, you two can keep fighting like kids but please keep it down" and with that, she closed the window and went back to studying.
"Damn" Alex muttered "We just got scolded by a ten-year-old girl dude" Shane shook his head "That's my daily routine mate, get used to it, cuz if you want to come hang out at my house in the future, it will surely happen again"
"I don't think I could handle the comments of my colleagues at work if someone found out I get scolded by little girls"
After making dinner for Angela and eating together, Shane ended up cleaning the kitchen and quickly went up in his room, locking the door and throwing himself onto bed. He pulled out his phone and turned on the torch, pointing it upwards so it would light up the room a bit, just enough to see. He did this cuz his lazy ass was not feeling like standing up, walking back towards the door, reaching out and flipping the light switch on. 'Naaa, too much work' He reached inside his pocket and grabbed the sheet of paper Bianca had handed him this afternoon, it was fairly crumpled but luckily it didn't tear. He carefully opened it, not wanting to rip it by accident, and then focused the light of the torch on it so to see what did it say. 'Syke! You thought I would just give out my number to others that easily? No sir! If you want it you'll have to work in order to get it! >:)' "What the?" Shane mumbled confused. 'If you're up for the challenge, just turn the paper around, good luck
"So let me get this straight" Alex mumbled as they all walked together to school, accompanying Angela to her first. Apparently, throughout some unknown astral power, his friend found out about the interaction Shane had with Bianca, and therefore came to pester him the second they set foot out of their house, forcing him to spill everything "She gave you her number" "She didn't give me her number" Shane replied, already having had enough about the day, even though it had just started. "Then you called her and she pestered you about creepypastas" "She didn't" "And now she's your girlfriend!?" "Again, no" he groaned, burying his face in his hands, trying to figure out how Alex got wind to this in the first place. He thought he might have placed some sort of app or device on his phone or some shit like that. Shane made a mental note to check his phone thoroughly once home. "For the last time Alex, she's my girl friend, with a space in between between. Two separate words, get it?
As Shane sat through another seemingly never ending class, his attention getting caught by everything that could distract him from this boring lesson. Halfway through dozing off, he saw something land on the side of his school desk. A crumpled up piece of paper. He was a little startled at first but soon opened it and found a short message inside that made him smirk. 'Ya having fun ey? :P' he looked around, trying to figure out who sent the message. He didn't have to look for long, since he soon found a familiar pair of eyes staring at him. Shane snickered, ducking his head so to not be seen by the teacher as he wrote a reply on the back of the paper, throwing it back at Bianca when no one was looking. Luckily, the two of them were seated fairly close to each other, as well as in the second to last row, so it was harder for the teacher to spot them. The transaction went smoothly and she received his message, shaking her head in disapproval. They continued to exchange notes secretly
"Shane!" Angela called, slightly tugging his sleeve while they walked home from school. "Mh?" "Did something good happen at school today?" her question surprised "Why do you ask?" "You look happier than usual" he raised an eyebrow "Do I?" "You've been grinning like a creepy serial killer the whole way back while nodding rhythmically, I'm pretty sure a few people we encountered thought you were kidnapping me or that you escaped from an asylum" she said sarcastically. Shane looked around, noticing in fact a few people stare at him with a worried look on their faces, some even had their phone in hand, ready to call the police. "Oh fuck" he mumbled, pulling up his hood and hurrying his pace "Why didn't you tell me?!" he whisper yelled, feeling his face burn in embarrassment. "I tried to, you just kept humming at me like the idiot you are" she grumbled annoyed "It's not my fault if your head is always in the clouds, you should consider tying a rope to it so you can keep it down to g
"Why did I agree to this?" Shane kept scolding himself throughout the whole drive to the party for not seeing Angela's scheme, which caused him to end up giving a lift to three more of her friends who were also going there. When he returned home from school, he grabbed the car keys and told her to jump in, she did and soon after gave him an address. Shane thought it was the party's address. Nope, it was the one of a friend who needed a ride. She then did it again and again, for a total of 3 times! Three! Freaking! Times! She fooled him three times! After which, she finally gave him the right address and they were currently heading towards it now, and, cherry ontop, because Shane was frustrated, he kept hitting the side of the sidewalk with the tires, giving the pedestrians quite a scare. "Brother are you sure you're trying to get us there alive? No because it looks like you're giving it your all to make a tire pop" she commented as her friends laughed in the back seats. "Angy"
'This is pain' Shane thought as he walked to school with Alex 'Both mentally and physically' "Pffff" "Shut up" "I'm not saying anything" Alex hummed. "I can hear your thoughts even if you're not saying them out-loud" he commented bitterly. "It's not my fault you decided to be the guinea pig for a group of ten-year-olds practicing makeup, dude" "I didn't really have a choice in the matter and you know it" he said with a groan, rubbing his eyes furiously "AND NOW THIS FUCKING SHIT WON'T COME OFF!! I'VE ALREADY TAKEN FOUR SHOWERS! FOUR!" Alex couldn't help but laugh at his friend's pain "Yeah no kidding, I'm pretty convinced they used a mixture of makeup and permanent markers on you. Have you tried bleaching your eyes yet? At least you won't be able to see it anymore" he teased, earning a glare in response "Have you tried bleaching your brain? At least you wouldn't be able to be a pain anymore" "Alright alright sorry. I'll try g****e a way to remove permanent marker later while
As soon as the door began to open, Shane got shoved in one of the stalls by Bianca before he had the time to react. Although he was thankful for that, because as soon as he realized what was happening, his body froze. 'Damn, how many time does Bianca have to save my ass? At this rate I will end up owing her so much shit that I'd go bankrupt' he thought with a smile as he pulled up his feet, so they couldn't see that there was someone in the stall. Not forgetting to lock it of course. "Well well well, look who it is now" one of the girls said in a smug tone "What is a whore doing in the girl's bathroom at school? Shouldn't you use the one at the gas station a mile down the road?" Shane was shocked upon hearing this. "Yeah sorry about that, your boyfriend told me he would pick me up an hour ago and bring me there but apparently he stood me up for your best friend" Bianca shot back, earning an offended gasp from the girls. "How dare you! You bitch! Stay away from my boyfriend!" "It'
After the two enjoyed some hot chocolate together, they both went their separate ways, heading home. Shane will never admit it, but he really loved spending time with Bianca, even though it was because of an injury. As he walked back home, he recalled today's events. Her hands were incredibly delicate in removing the makeup from his face, not to mention that she was as light as a feather when he picked her up. "I didn't expect that girl to be so light" he said with a chuckle, blushing a bit as he remembered the doctor that called her his girlfriend. 'No way, she's way out of my league. I mean just look at her, she's pretty, has an amazing personality, can stand up for herself, she won't take shit from others and doesn't let anyone boss her around. While I'm the polar opposite. Ugly, shit personality, get bullied and pushed around everyday' he thought with a sigh. "It's fine I guess. Being her friend is more than enough for me" he mumbled to himself. "Suuure, keep saying that to yo
