A couple minutes after Elek and Tyra were taken to a place of rest, the two magicians that had brought them to the place of Efraim then entered the hall to speak to the governor about the things which Elek and Tyra had told him.Immediately they finished exchanging greetings, the other three magicians that were left to continue the fight against the dark lord then appeared in the same room. As soon as they appeared, the other two rushed to help them because two were badly injured to the point that they could not stand on their feet. The other one who seemed to look stronger than the others was also wounded, but at least her condition was better and she was the one who helped the others to flee from the face of conflict.As they laid on the floor of the hall, the witch and wizard tried to heal and restore strength to them with the use of their powers. Then Efraim asked after a short while, because of what had happened. "Are you sure those two kids are really the magicians we need to defeat the dark lord and Verona? Elek and Tyra had gone over to the house of his father, which is the place where he spent most of his life before he went to stay with his uncle.It happened that Elek had brought Tyra there so that they would check the house for his father's magic book, because he had a feeling that if Tyra's father had one, then his father who was a powerful wizard would definitely have a magic book.But it happened that after a very long search, after tumbling the house upside down, they could not find any spell book. Then Tyra exhaled heavily because she too was not sure whether embarking on that quest was really a good idea. She had a lot of doubts in her heart that they would not make it out alive. Imagine them going to the domain of their enemy, the dark lord. And not only that, they will have to enter another place where their magical powers would not be functioning. So if peradventure they succeed in getting to the cave, how are they going to get out because their powers would be of no use and they would not be able to open the portal which had led them there.While she was still deliberating on what decision to make, Elek noticed that she would take forever to make that simple decision, so he said to her. Then Elek summoned courage and came out of hiding before the soldier got to where they were, and he said while coming. "It's just me, nothing to worry about."And the soldier did not recognize Elek as one who was with the dark lord, so he commanded. "Who are you?!""Come on, I am one of you." Elek answered in pretense."Are you not supposed to be out there in the field fighting with the others?" The soldier asked him, because he had an instinct telling him that Elek was not a dark magician.Then Elek said still in pretense, "You see… you are right, I am to be them, but I fell asleep. I just woke up and was wondering about finding them. But since you say they are already gone, I guess I will just join them right away." Crossing over to the other side, which was the front of the cave where Demi had been held captive for years. Elek and Tyra could not hear the overwhelming sounds which they heard when they were about to cross. So they concluded that the noise was created by the portal and not from that part which they were now standing on.Behold the cave was before them, it looked dark inside, so fright gripped both Elek and Tyra, as to what could be inside the cave. Then Tyra had to try a spell which would create light that would enable to see through the paths which they were about to trend. But the spell did not result in any effect because they were under the dark clouds, causing them to be more of mere men than magics."Hope there is nothing dangerous in there?" Tyra thought out loud. After Elek had passed over to the left part of the cage, he began to hear some conversation, and he concluded it to be the two dark magicians who were with the key to the cage where Demi was locked in. So he thought of how to distract them, so as to separate them from each other.After some period of deep thinking, he returned back to the spot where the cage parted into three routes and at that point. He picked up some stones, and a log of wood.
