CHAPTER TWENTY TWO.

After he ended the call, Alex climbed out of the car and briskly made his way into the house. He wanted to see what was inside that box, maybe he could find a clue.

Elias was already standing by the gate when he entered and they both shook hands before he led him into the basement.

“I will leave you to it then”

Alex nodded and watched the man walk out of the room while he turned his attention to the room.

He could remember how many times he would come to hide here when he didn’t want to watch movies or eat with his family members but now none of them was here.

Bending down he tore one of the boxes open and began to look through it. There was nothing important in that first one, only items that were no longer needed for the house and his mum kept aside.

Alex went ahead to the second and the last box, he was hoping he would see something which he actually did. After searching for a while, Alex came across a brown envelope which caught his attention.
