5: Vow for REVENGE!

He glanced at Alex with a sneer, already knowing the answer. "No, I don't think so. You're just a pathetic loser who can't even provide for yourself, let alone a woman like Vivian!"

Alex boiled in anger. How could this man speak to him with such superiority?

“Look at you, Alex,” she sneered, her voice oozing contempt. “You think you're good enough for me? You can barely afford a decent suit, let alone take care of someone like me. You're a nobody, a waste of space!”

Alex's heart sank, tears forming in his eyes as he gazed at the angelic face of Vivian. He couldn't believe she could be so cruel, so heartless.

He had always believed Vivian loved him for who he was, but now he saw the truth - her love was conditional, based on what he could buy for her.

"I love you, Vivian, I respect you, and I'm loyal to you," he said, his voice trembling. His eyes watered. "Why are you doing this to me?"

Vivian scoffed, a mocking laugh that pierced Alex's heart like a poisoned knife.

While Daniel couldn't contain himself. “Love, respect, and loyalty? Snap out of it! Those won't pay the bills, Alex!” he taunted. “You need money, power, and influence. And you, my friend, have none of those things!”

Alex felt a blow to his gut. Was this the same woman he spent a month finding ways to get $10,000?

"But this... this is not fair," he mumbled, his head bent as tears escaped his eyes.

“Well it won't be fair to me too, Alex,” she said, her voice mockingly soft as she went over all her fantasies. “How about what I want? The Gucci bags, the Chanel shoes, Rolex watches, latest collection Chanel dresses, Chanel makeup, Ferrari car, and the list keeps going! Be merciful to me Alex. I have my needs too!”

Alex was taken aback. He had never realized how materialistic Vivian truly was. She had always been the center of his world, but he now saw that it was all an illusion.

"But I can try," Alex said with courage. "If you just give me a chance, I can become the person you want me to be!"

Vivian rolled her eyes, as if his words were absurd. "You'll never be good enough for me, Alex. You're a poor nobody who will never amount to anything!"

Her words cut deeply through him. He didn't know what to do anymore.

“Just get the fuck out of here now before I call the guards on you! And from now on you and I are completely strangers! S-T-R-A-N-G-E-R-S, STRANGERS!Alexander The Loser!” She yelled it loud for everyone to hear before turning back to her new lover, Daniel.

In the middle of the this, Alex stood frozen. He couldn't believe what she just called him; Alexander The Loser? That was what the others often called him. He felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest.

He had imagined this moment so many times, but never like this. He had always pictured himself standing at the altar with her, not watching her marry someone else.

Alex stood there, feeling lost and alone, watching as the love of his life made her vows to another man.

He couldn't bear it anymore. With tears streaming down his face, he walked out of the church, feeling nothing but heartbreak.

His love for her was so strong that he had taken up the challenge even when he knew he was struggling, lost his job, and even the death of his mother couldn't shake his faith in her. He just wanted to be with her.

But now, deep down he was devastated and shattered, wondering if she had ever truly loved him for who he was.

As he ventured down the street, he stopped at a dark alley, leaning against a bridge railing. The pain etched on his face was clearly visible to anyone who passed by.

Why was his life so miserable?

Was poverty his fault despite hard work?

All he wanted was a normal life - like everyone else seemed to enjoy.

From a young age, illegal opportunities tempted him. But he resisted, determined to remain good Alex - earning money respectfully. After all, good things come to those who wait.

But now, he was beginning to doubt that theory. Does good things truly come to those who wait?

He had waited all his life, but all he got was a sack letter, the death of his beloved mother and the worst of all - betrayal from the woman he dedicated his life to.

Suddenly, anger consumed him as he clenched his fists, recalling the insults hurled at him. He turned back and faced the large sea beneath the bridge.

He remembered Edmundo, offering him wealth and success. A fire trigger within him, fueled by anger and a desire for revenge.

He stared at the sea, picturing Vivian's face, her betrayal. "I will show you what it feels like to be humiliated and degraded, to be treated like you're worth nothing. I will make you regret treating me this way," he vowed, gripping the railing tightly. "You will pay for what you've done. I swear it."

His reddened hands tightened around the railing, bending it hard. “And you also dared to call me Alexander The Loser? Just wait and see how Alexander The Loser will become...” the railing finally split into two. “ALEXANDER THE GREAT!” His voice was filled with anger, fire burning in his eyes and determination to carry it out on her was damn sure.

He was not going to let anyone bring him down again, and he would stop at nothing to get his revenge!
