THE MANIAC

It’s been three weeks since Seth’s arrest.

He was placed in a maximum cell, beaten to tell the truth about his dealings and who he was working for, but Seth refused to tell the truth about the drugs which was found in his vehicle that particular night.

Seth did trust Rose with all his heart, even if she was at times mean to him, he thought there was some part in her that still loved him like before. He had no idea that all this while, Rose was trying to get him off her trail just so that she could be with Clad, she wanted to break him so bad that he wouldn’t have the audacity to seek for her again.

Clad and Rose planned it all up, they wanted to make Seth feel so special, just so that the feeling will spin around like a boomerang and then wipe him like a belt. He never saw it coming.

Before Seth got into the vehicle to go back home, Rose planted a bag filled with Cocaine in the boot of the vehicle. They knew Seth was going to be held down by the cops because of the route he was taking and also for late driving, so their plan was bound to work.

Poor Seth had no idea that he was being set up, all that went through his mind was the new change of attitude in his lover, he had it all playing in his mind, making him feel as though the Rose he once knew was back to him, only to be struck by reality that she never cared about him, all she ever wanted was wealth, power, fame and more, and Seth was her little opportunity for a huge breakthrough. What did he expect? He was a loser.

Seth was then bailed out of Jail by an anonymous individual, he was confused because the evidence laid down against him was extremely clear that he was going to wrought in Jail, so this person must have paid the judge a huge amount of money to close the case.

Seth walked out of Jail as a free man, hoping to start life all over again from a better angle and not trust anyone with his future.

“Freeze,” A man jolted Seth out of his thoughts as he approached an abandoned street which was a shortcut to his house.

He freezes for his dear life with his hands lifted above his head. What was really happening to him? The past few months has made him the champion of almost getting killed

The robust male figure standing behind Seth, slammed Seth with a gun at the back of his head, crashing Seth to the ground.

Few moments later.

“Wake up mother fucker,” A splash of water slams the face of Seth, hastily bringing him back to his conscious mindset, as the rays of the sun began to beat his green pupils, he tried to get up and run for his dear life, but painfully discovered that he was tied to a chair.

He was taken to a huge warehouse which looked as though it was meant for the production of flammables and weapons. Seth began to look around, seeing about ten men who surrounded him with different weapons, looking as though they wanted to hurt Seth.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Seth Hilton, the son of Mr. Hilton White. We finally caught up to you didn’t we,” Jack, a man who seemed as though he was their boss walked in and sat on a seat close to Seth.

Seth was confused, he knew his father was nothing more than a poor man who died a few months ago, why was he mentioning the famous Hilton White? One of the richest men in the world, or maybe across the world if they were people living on other planets.

“So, you thought you could hide from us all this years, Seth Hilton, how preposterous?” Jack said with a smirk.

“Let me go, you’ve got the wrong person, I am Seth Milton, not Seth Hilton, you must have misunderstood the name,” Seth cried, still struggling to free himself from the chair.

“Shush Seth, I know who I always come for, and trust me, you are the one, the lost son of Hilton White, who we have been in search of for years,” Jack said.

“I have no idea about whatever you are talking about,” Seth cried out.

“Well, isn’t your guardian’s name Tony Milton? The one who was murdered on the high way?” Jack reported, and Seth’s demeanor swiveled drastically as he gazed blankly at the man before him, utterly bewildered by reality.

“How do you know about my father’s death? Who are you?” Seth asked with his eyes blazing, knowing what the answers to his questions would be.

“Well Seth, I know because I was the one who killed your so call father, and if you want to know who I am, I am your family,” Jack added with a laugh.

“Your father, Hilton Whites, is the brother to my father, Rhode White, which makes me your cousin, my name is Jack Rhode, nice to meet you brother,” Jack introduced.

Seth was surprised at Jack’s revelation, unable to talk as different thoughts began to cluster in his head. All he did was to gaze with his mouth agape.

“Few years ago, your father killed my father, living me as a homeless and poor orphan. I joined the street and began to do things to survive until I was able to settle with the big dogs who showed me the way.”

“You see, while all this was happening to me, while I was busy losing my conscience, while I was bursting my ass all day and night to survive, you were out there living a normal life. Ever since the death of my father I vowed never to leave this world without destroying every single one of his offspring,” Jack said, sauntering round about Seth.

He then pulled out his gun and pointed it to the face of Seth.

“What’s the need of introducing myself? It’s time for you to pay for your father’s sin Seth.”

“And Oh! Tell your pops I said happy new year,” he said, then placed his hands on the trigger.
