Chapter 47

General had been waiting for Goldier's to return for what seemed like an eternity. He checked his phone repeatedly, hoping to see a missed call or a message, but there was nothing. As the minutes turned into an hour, he began to feel a sense of unease.

He dialled Goldier's number, but it went straight to voicemail. Frustrated and worried, General made the difficult decision to leave and head back to the hospital.

However, he found no solace at home, and his mind could not rest. He felt that staying by Mia's side would bring him some measure of comfort, even with the guards present. As night fell, exhaustion overtook him, and he dozed off in his chair.

But his peace was short-lived as he was awakened by a tap on his shoulder. A voice asked him for Alonso's whereabouts, causing General to jolt awake. He instinctively replied without thinking, "He has gone home."
