After years of service he had experienced countless battles, large and small and had never being defeated. He had made immortal contribution to the country. At a very young age, Quincy became the youngest general in history, earning the highest honor of ‘’Unmatched National Hero’’ and was responsible for guiding the borders and protecting Malafania Republic.
Out of jealousy, he was poisoned by his family and the chief commander of the Army who was scared that Quincy will take all his glory and even his position as the president Malafania Republic so the president together with the Stones family planned for his death.
The drug that was meant to kill him instantly didn’t kill him but it made him a dead vegetable. Because of that, his position in the Military was taken away from him and all information blocked.
The Stone family was the strongest and wealthiest family in Malafania Republic, Quincy was the oldest and strongest. Even Lord Walter was extremely happy when Quincy newly proposed to Khloe.
To his utmost surprise, he was poisoned by the people he fought battles for and most painfully supported by his family. He truly fought for his people and now after years of relentless efforts and countless battles he was paid back with evil.
He rolled over to the other side of the bed. He let out a loud cry ‘’croaxxxxxxxxxx’’he clenched his fists so tight and his nails were embedded into his flesh, causing his hand to bleed.
‘’The stone family! Is time to pay you for what you did to me all these years! Fortunately my identity as the god of war remains a secret. The Stone family shouldn’t have kept me alive……..’’Quincy calmed down after a while but he was drowned by guilt and bitterness.
His eyes went straight to a ladies bangles on the side stool close to his bed, it belongs to Khloe. She spends her days by his side every day. Crying her eyes out. He feels her presence daily and could hear as she cries and prays to the Almighty for his recovery.
Khloe never abandoned him, nor complained about anything. She took care of him and stood by him through this painful time. However, these years have being really tough for Quincy, Khloe and little Ashley.
Quincy exhaled deeply and gradually regained his consciousness.
‘’Leave this man to his fate, Charles Hills, is willing to marry you right away if only you agree to divorce this good for nothing fellow,’’ Quincy recalled the voice he heard faintly the night before, it was Kimberly, Khloe’s mother, urging her to leave Quincy.
‘’Anyways, tomorrow is Grandfather’s seventieth birthday, just make yourself available.’’ Left for Khloe she wouldn’t want to leave Quincy’s bedside to attend a party, but she just has to attend Grandpa’s party or else heads will roll. She could use the opportunity and sought for financial help from grandpa she murmured to herself after Kimberly left.
After recalling the voices he heard, Quincy sighed.
‘’Now that I’m back, Khloe, you won’t suffer anymore! I swear, I will make you the happiest woman ever to live. You and my tiny little Ashley.”’
Quincy then grabbed the hospital’s phone from the bedside and dialed a series numbers that he found in his regained memories.
‘’Hello’’ the call got through and a deep voice answered.
‘’Scot, it’s me.’’ Quincy sounded emotional when the call got through. Scot haven was one of the eight war Generals under his command and during his time he spent serving the Army. Scot was his most trusted man.
Loud noises of tables being overturned echoed from the phone. Scot’s excited voice followed.
‘’Boss, is it really you? Where have you been? You’ve been missing for all this time and it almost drove us mad! Since your identity is confidential we are not permitted to locate you, without official orders.’’
With a deep sigh Quincy replied, ‘’I got into some trouble. I’m fine now.’’
Fuming with anger and sniffing his nose Scot said, ‘’someone tried to harm you? Who is that? Just one word the boys and I will raise them to the ground.’’
‘’Never mind’’ Quincy replied softly. He did not want others to be involved in his affairs with the Walter family.
‘’I have something I need you to do for me, arrange for Galumanation Investment Company to enter Gato Republic tonight and announce an investment worth twenty billion.
He served the Army for years, not only did he win battles, he also founded a business empire in another country. Now he want to use the Company to help Khloe.
Scot answered, ‘’Yes Boss, I will come to Gato Republic right away. Meanwhile, while you were away domestic and foreign enemies grew too much. We need to talk in person.’’

That night Galumanation Company declared its entry into Gato Republic. Few hours later, Quincy was discharged and he made his way to visit the Walter family.
Charles visited. His handsome face, with meticulously styled hair and thin lips. He walked with style carrying an engagement ring and some roses. He was going to Kim Walter’s house to propose to her daughter Khloe. With him is a big envelope but that was for Khloe’s grandfather.
He admired his looks once again using his Ferrari side mirror, ‘’who in her right senses will refuse to marry an illegible bachelor like me living in a mansion with my pocket full.’’ With that he smiled. He put his hand in his pocket, brought out a neat scented handkerchief, wiped off possible sweat and made his way into the apartment.
After few minutes of knocking on the door with no reply, he brought out his iPhone and dialed Khloe’s mother. ‘’Sorry dear, but today is Grandfather’s seventieth birthday celebration. We all are at his place. You can come over, Kim answered over the phone. What a perfect time for the engagement.’’ they both let out a loud laugh.
