MEET IMPORTANT PERSON

A cat meows, Penelope scoffed. ‘’I would like to see how you do that. By the way, do you know where Charles is taking us to for dinner tonight? It is the third floor of Cubana. A piece of thrash as such as yourself could never get into such a luxurious restaurant even if you work round the clock for the rest of your life.’’

Kimberly’s eyes glimmered with excitement. ‘’The third floor of Cubana? Only golden members can make a booking there!’’ cubana was one of the most expensive restaurant in Malafania Republic and only by spending above fifteen million on a single receipt, will qualify anyone for membership.

Lord Walter is the only one in the entire family to have a golden member card there. When it comes to floors above third floor, it is required to spend more.

Penelope glanced at Quincy and scoffed, ‘’Quincy this is the difference between you and Charles. Sometimes I wonder what gave you the confidence to still be hanging around Khloe.

‘’Penelope stop talking to this dead vegetable, Khloe is here, let’s go. We shouldn’t keep Charles waiting,’’ Kimberly did not even look Quincy’s direction, she grabbed Khloe by the hand into the Range Rover.

Meanwhile, Deborah was still crying over the money she already transferred into Kubus’s account. ‘’Vincent, you need to go to Kubus and get my money back for, be bold. After all Quincy went for the sake of Khloe, you just have to do something. I need to celebrate my birthday in the new house, I already posted about it on all social Medias, I just can’t disappoint.’’ She went on and on speaking as she sobs bitterly.

Vincent tried as much as he could to console her, but deep down in his heart, he knows there is little or nothing he could do. ‘’stop crying, I will definitely figure something out, he managed to say.

‘’Figure! Angered saucy Deborah screamed so hard at her husband Vincent, ''there is no time to figure shit out, just go over there, with some authorities,he is not above the law.’’ Vincent reluctantly agreed to meet Kubus first thing in the morning.

As Quincy was roaming around the house verandah, since everyone has gone out. His phone rang.

‘’Boss, Innocent Chim has prepared a feast as a token apology for offending you. It’s being held at the ninth floor of Cubana, Emperor Hall. Do you want to……. ‘’tell him to pick me up, Quincy uttered over the phone, cutting him shot.

When the land Rover arrived at the entrance of cloud nine, Charles who had been waiting went up to welcome them. He wore a branded white suit and held a bouquet of roses. He opened the car door for Khloe and said, ‘’Khloe, you look so beautiful tonight,’’ Khloe managed a forced smile.

Penelope nudged Khloe and grumbled, ‘’Charles is talking to you, say something!’’ Khloe leaned over to her and whispered, ‘’I am more worried about Quincy not having anything to eat this night, I wonder if it will be rude to order some food for him,’’ Penelope snapped at her, ‘’For Christ sake, forget about the retard, at least for today.’’

‘’Wow!’’ someone cried out from somewhere. An extended while Limousine then drove into the porch and the five 9’s on the plate number was alarming. Charles himself was surprised. ‘’Isn’t that Innocent’s car? He eats at Cubana as well?’’

Innocent was a man of substance, whose power rivaled that of law of enforcement. As they were all still looking in admiration, the door of the car opened and a young man came out. He then followed his security into the elevator.

Khloe looked at the young man and said he looked familiar, ‘’he looks like Quincy’’ Penelope raised her brows and ridiculed, ‘’Quincy? At this point I believe you need help, because Quincy will never come out of Innocent’s car not even as a driver.’’ Khloe swallowed saliva upon hearing her friend, she must have mistaken the young man for Quincy.

Khloe with her parents and Penelope, followed Charles to the third floor of Cubana named La casera hall. ‘’Wow! The third floor is this grand and luxurious, I can’t help but wonder how the higher floors will look like. And that legendary, Emperor Hall on the ninth floor, I heard it’s as grand as a palace. Kimberly was carried away by the interior of the La casera Hall, she moves around touching and feeling the decorations.

Charles was delighted by Kim’s response. He said, ‘’Kim and Hector, I think we should place our orders?’’ they both echoed together, ‘’Oh right, let’s order!’’ the couple sat down at started to look at the menu. The prices on the menu, put them back for some seconds. The huge prices made them feel like royalties.

Just then, Charles’s phone beeped, it was a message from Vincent. Vincent asked Charles to follow him to Kubus to help recover Deborah’s money or even complete the purchase of the penthouse. After reading the message he decided to call Vincent to tell him that Innocent is here at Cubana, suggesting that they go through Innocent who is Kubus’s boss.

‘’I will be there shortly,’’ Vincent replied.

‘’Vincent will be joining us,’’ Charles announced after he ended the call. Kimberly wasn’t excited about the news, ‘’hope he is not coming with his wife, I can’t stand the sight of that Deborah.’’

‘’Actually, Deborah is in some mess with Kubus, it’s like a trade by barter. He released the property to Khloe and seized Deborah’s, funny? Isn’t it?’’ Charles said as he picks the menu to find the wines to order.

After he made his order, he added two bottles of Azul, Penelope was also a wine connoisseur. She flattered, ‘’Charles, you shouldn’t have, the two bottles of Azul costs around thirty to forty thousand.’’ Charles smiled, ‘’it’s really nothing, compared to the fact that I am the host of the dinner and I have my soon to be in-laws. You can’t imagine how I feel inside.’’

For a moment, Kim and Hector were deeply convinced by Charles’s generosity. As expected of the eldest son of a first tier family. He was hundred times better than the retard they were forced to accept as a son in-law.

Outside the hall, Quincy was roaming around the corridors, then he accidently bumped into a waitress, she was carrying two bottles of wine, she slipped and almost fell, but fortunately Quincy caught her.

‘’Are you alright?’’ the waitress was mortified. ‘’I’m alright,’’ she answered while applying force on her feet and it hurts. The waitress tried to move her feet but the pain was much.

‘’Why don’t I help you deliver the wines?’’ she nodded and thanked Quincy. ‘’Thank you sir.’’

Back in La casera Hall, the group were chatting happily over dinner, except for Khloe as her thoughts had drifted off. Kim noticed her daughter’s blank look. She leaned over and whispered into her ear, Khloe why are you so quiet? When the wine gets here be nice and pour some for Charles yourself, understand?’’

‘’Mom, I am not in the mood for all that.’’ ‘’You better be,’’ Kim said with a deep frown.

Vincent opened the door into La casera hall, and here is Quincy with the wines looking around for the right table who ordered for the wines. He let out a loud laugh. The laugh made everyone turn. Kimberly was sitting opposite the door and she spotted him at first glance, ‘’Quincy?’’ she cried in shock. The others were surprised as well when they sited him.

‘’You useless thing! Why did you follow us here?  Who let you in? Kimberly was furious, she looked at Charles afraid that Charles will be disappointed because of Quincy’s constant pestering round Khloe.

Penelope scoffed, Quincy have quite the nerves, Cubana forbids entry without a member card. Don’t tell me you pretended to be a waiter just to slip in?’’

Quincy shook his head, ‘’someone invited me here.’’ Khloe looked at Quincy baffled.

Penelope placed her forehead on the table, certainly she lacks word. Looked up from the table few seconds later, ‘’who will invite a retard like you to have dinner? Don’t tell me you have some retard left in your brain?’’

Vincent who was already sitting down, waved reluctantly and said, ‘’I don’t care how you got in, put the wine down and leave.’’

Quincy ignored their ranting, he looked at Khloe and said, ‘’Khloe, Kubus’s boss is hosting us a feast on the ninth floor, he said it’s to apologize to us. Do you want to come?’’

His words silenced everyone.

‘’Kubus’s boss? Isn’t that Innocent Chim?’’

Penelope scoffed and said, ‘’Quincy do you even know who Innocent Chim is? That is a big shot with a vast network and influence, even my godfather respects him, and retard you is here saying that such a man is hosting a feast for you as a token of apology, you make me laugh!’’

‘’Penelope, if you don’t believe me you can come along and see for yourself. ‘’Quincy said calmly but Penelope rolled her eyes at him. Charles regained his composure and said with a beaming smile, ‘’I saw Innocent’s car at the entrance, that’s why he said so, it’s a good thing there are no outsiders here, or else all of us would suffer if he hears this belittling insult.’’

Everyone was afraid, ‘’I’ve had enough of your nonsense! Kim slammed the table and screamed, ‘’you keep being a retard and it embarrasses us. Get out of here or I slap you to death!’’

‘’Quincy, why don’t you go first? I will come home after dinner,’’ Khloe was embarrassed as well. She got up and dragged Quincy to a corner, urging him to leave. Quincy looked at her and once again, teared up. This constantly happens whenever he looks deep Khloe’s eyes and remembers everything she passed through because of him.

Kimberly could no longer stand the sight of sight of Quincy and Khloe together in a corner while Charles watch, she roared at Quincy, ‘’remove yourself from here, and from my daughter’s life, you claim Innocent is hosting you, good for you, but please go and have all the fun in the world just leave Khloe out of it obviously you want to commit suicide and somehow you want poor Innocent Chim to be linked to your death!’’

‘’Trust me, you need to go the ninth floor with me,’’ Quincy pleaded. At this point Khloe accepted. Not that she believed him about innocent hosting them, he just agreed to go simply to see for herself how grand the ninth floor is.

Being on the third floor and seeing how exotic it is, one can only but imagine how fourth, fifth and sixth up to ninth floor would be.

The sound of his phone interrupted his conversation with Khloe, he glanced at the caller ID, seeing that it was Scot, he answered just immediately.

‘’Boss, Innocent will like to introduce you to the guests, he said he needs to do it as part of according respect to you,’’ Scot roared.

‘’No, I don’t that would be necessary, Quincy replied. As I still wouldn’t want my identity known yet. He paused then continued. I will be coming there with my wife, and I still want everywhere to remain calm. The Sir and Boss thing needs to stop for now. But attention and respect will be given to my wife, we will be there shortly, we will be there soon.’’

‘’But everyone saw you already, both Innocent and other prominent people, how do I tell them not to speak about you?’’ scot asked really confused, not knowing why his boss choose to remain hidden, even though somehow it has gone public that he has recovered. Even so the news spreads everyday more people gets to hear about his return daily.

‘’Just do as I said,’’ Quincy ordered, with that he ended the call.

Looking up from his phone, there is Khloe approaching with a visible fear written all over her face, she just couldn’t say no to Quincy, but she honestly do not believe that Innocent Chim is hosting them, she followed Quincy anyways.

Kimberly was so unhappy, Hector’s face turned red with embarrassment. They apologized to Charles who was filled with fury at the moment.

Quincy walked with Khloe into the all exotic flamboyant diamond dripping hall, the decorations were made with different precious stone, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond.

A waiter walked up to Quincy that was the same girl that he accidentally hit minutes ago. The moment Quincy saw her, he knew he was going to start with the ‘’Sir Thing’’ so he outsmarted her and stopped it with a mean look.

Working as a waitress at Cubana exposes one to the filthy rich so you understand how to relate with them and also you understand how to relate with them. ‘’That’s my wife, Khloe, give her anything she demands for. He turn to Khloe, ''Dear,be comfortable, ask her for anything you want, I will be with you shortly.’’ With that Quincy disappeared.

Khloe was still in shock, and very pleased at the same time to be in the Emperor Hall. Whatever it was that gave them a pass into the ninth floor, does not really matter to her at that point. Just immediately she remembered her friend Penelope. Now that I’m fully seated. And have a waiter assigned to offer me anything I need. I think I should call Penelope over.

‘’Its real it’s so real, come over to the ninth floor. Come and see all the beautiful things, let’s have all the fun we can. And again, I’m not familiar with wines, and cocktails, but you are.’’ Khloe screamed at penelope  with excitement, dragging her in the hand.

Penelope was munching the last bite of her food, the time Khloe came down to the third floor for her. She slowly, wiped off food crumbs from her mouth and excused herself from the silent table.

After Quincy left with Khloe, the setting on the third floor, went silent. Charles had to continue with the dinner for the sake of it. Left for him he would love to leave cubana entirely. Few hours ago, he was receiving praises for paying ten million for third floor, in a twinkle of an eye, the very woman he did that for left him and went to ninth floor. And truth be told, he can’t afford the ninth floor. That Hall, is extravagantly expensive.

On the ninth floor….

‘’Domaine de la Romaine, Cheval Blanc, screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, can we have all the wines I just mentioned!’’ Penelope asked the waiter. ''All available madam, few minutes please!’’ the waiter lady replied.

‘’You did mention that that the young man who  passed that moment Innocent Chim drove in looked like your Quincy. Obviously, he is getting tired of living off his in-laws, so he thought it will be wise for him to get a job, funny isn’t it? And the only job his retard brain could think of is the job of a waiter…poor him.’’ Penelope said as they were waiting for their wines to be served.

Announcement...  the announcement was made by Geoffrey, Innocent Chim’s son.

 ‘’A very important person will soon join us. And he will address us. He is the reason for this party. He is the bravest of heart and the strongest of souls.’’ A voice announced this. Only the voice could be heard, though.

Khloe and Peneloe were excited, and beaming with smile. ‘’A very important person, I’m not leaving this place without having at least a hand shake with this important fellow. Whoever is addressed as very important in the mist of Innocent must be very important. And I won’t miss the opportunity to meet this important person, not now that I’m here.’’ Penelope voiced out while nodding her head and dancing slowly to the soft background jazz.

She then turned to the waiter behind her and said, ‘’Hey I want more champagne.’’
