A massive platform rose from the ground, instantly taking the form of an earthly pillar.

As Ansel's eyes fell upon the enigmatic structure, he began to read the strange symbols inscribed upon it.

Its rough platform was noticeable but that didn't seem to bother Ansel, he was more worried as to how the pillar appeared.

"Is anyone in this place?" Ansel asked out loud, he had walked a great distance from the entrance of the cave and so he was sure that no one outside could hear him.

Not unless there was someone in the cave.

His voice echoed in the cave and rang back in his ears.

He was met with silence except for the flapping of wings which were obviously from the bats who were scared of Ansel's sudden scream.

He noticed how his stepmother hissed under her breath, clearly displeased.‘They think I spent my last

The glass shattered against the floor with a loud crash, shards scattering everywhere. It wasn’t until she heard the satisfying sound of the glass breaking that her anger felt even remotely manageable.
