I will heal her

"Honey comb" Ansel said in almost a whisper.

His body moved on its own will and he saw himself walking towards her.

Her illness had accentuated her petite frame, making her seem smaller and more delicate than he remembered.

"Grandfather" Ansel said as he saw his grandfather stare at him.

His eyes held so many words. Ansel knew it was just as hard as it was for him to see her suffer.

Ansel pulled them both in for a hug.

He heard her whimper softly and he immediately realized that he might be hurting her.

Ansel was just about to initiate a conversation with his sister, opening his mouth to speak and expecting a response, when a sudden realization struck him.

The debilitating effects of her illness had tragically taken away her ability to speak.

He gave her a warm smile and pinched her cheeks gently before helping her rest on her bed.

He didn't need anyone to tell him that she was in a lot of pain.

Ansel knew he had to do something to make her feel better.
