Axel had a sly grin at the corner of his mouth as he rode back on his bicycle.
He was back in school and was feeling very gleeful about his current return. His friends, Drew McConnell, Quinn Relish and Charmaine Blair were flustered to see him in school because the news had spread out like wildfire about his expulsion. He greeted them warmly as he halted his bicycle at the school grounds ignoring the stares from the students. "We all heard you got expelled," Drew started. "Yes, Axel. Is this true? Why didn't you tell us?" Quinn's lips twitched upwards in curiosity. "I didn't want to bother you since school time was still on and I wanted to keep you all from being distracted," Axel stiffened. "Those hardy Boyz are deplorable in their acts," Charmaine clenched her jaws as she groped her hips with her hands. "Yes, that's why you all should be careful. I got back because I got a letter that says that I can return," Axel displayed the letter in his hands gleefully. "Wow, we are so happy for you," Drew's eyes beamed gleefully as he hugged Axel. "Yes, same here. We were flabbergasted when we saw you and were confused about whether it was true that you were expelled in the first place or not," Quinn added with an amicable smile as he hugged Axel. "Ooh, of course. It was true. Our teacher, Gertrude Greer even tried to curb the situation by reporting the hardy Boyz to the board, but since Hayden's dad, Elias is a member of the board, there was nothing that could be done," Axel corner of his lips fell towards the floor. "It's too unscrupulous and I can't believe this could be allowed. Those hardy Boyz are sinister!" Charmaine blurted out effusively. "Ooh, you mean those disgruntled chimps? They are the least of my problems now that I'm back to school, so I don't need to worry at all about them," Axel was on cloud nine. "Yes, indeed. We will see you around so take care," Drew said as they all fiddled with their group handshake signature before they waggled away from Axel. Axel's eyes popped open in excitement. He was waiting to share the good news to his foster mom that he had returned to high school and it's more subtle that it's the same high school where he was rejected, his school, since he was the heir. He drove his bicycle further until he stumbled upon the sight of the hardy Boyz and his ex-girlfriend, Ryan who was with them. He observed that they were having a quasi-understanding and a confabulation. His eyes twitched in distress because he hadn't fully recovered from the pain that Ryan made him go through. His lips quivered as he tried to feign a perfect emotional state of his. Myriads of memories flashed through his mind as he reminisced when they had both been dating. He had thought that she would be the one for him, little did he know that this would be the case instead. If he could evade them to avoid miscreant public display from them, he would have loved it. He also knew how abrasive they could be with their acts once they began with it. He knew he had no other choice but to drive through them since he couldn't escape them. Hayden's eyes twitched in bewilderment when he glanced at Axel and it turned to a heated stare. He wondered what Axel was doing at the school and was perplexed. Ryan was also flustered as her jaw dropped at the sight of Axel. The rest of the hardy Boyz, Silas, Rowan, Gael and Waylen circled him casting a heated gaze at him. Axel's relationship with the hardy Boyz had always been a vying one even before Hayden slept with Ryan, so he wasn't too flustered with what he saw. He knew that Hayden had his eyes that long for Ryan so it was anticipated a bit except for the act from Ryan. "Hey, puny little turd!" Hayden Japed as he hit Axel on his head. Axel was racked in pain as he shuddered a bit backwards and his hands clenched as he recoiled. "Are you here to crack a joke? What the hell are you doing here?" Hayden thundered upon his lungs. Axel was mute for a moment. He knew that they were the least of his problems right now with the good tidings that had befallen him recently. "Aren't you going to speak, you cheap-shotted dumb scholarship freak!" Silas yelled. Axel fixated his gaze on Ryan as they all spoke. It was as if he was waiting for her to speak before he spoke. All he saw was her taunting and he knew that she wasn't feeling contrite about her actions so far and she meant what she did to him. He still tried to ignore all their tirades by driving past them but Hayden pushed him belligerently off his bike and he was forced to halt. "You are going to answer me when I speak to you!" Hayden barked in a gushy manner. Axel clenched his jaws. He knew that even though he didn't plan to do so, he would have no other choice but to show them the evidence of the letter which indicates that he could stay back no matter what happens. "Are you dumb Axel?! Can't you speak!" Ryan spoke finally and her voice pierced Axel's soul and he felt tears pricked against his eyes but he had to man up to control it. Axel placed his bicycle aside and dug his hands into his bags to bring out the letter. "And what the hell is this?" Waylen barked succinctly. "Ooh, it must be an apology letter to apologize for his misbehaviour," Hayden Japed and they all busted out in jest at Axel. Axel hissed in disgust and clenched his fists together. "This is the letter from above which states that I can't be expelled anymore and there is absolutely nothing you all could do about it," Their incredulous expression mirrored Axel's audacious utterances that evaded his lips.Hayden's handsome face twisted to an ugly growl when he heard this. He couldn't believe what Axel had uttered. He plonked down next to Silas who held him stable out of respect. He couldn't help but gaze with a humorous glimmer after he had gotten himself. His heated words were chiding and he couldn't help but blurt it all out. "You this white, redneck, hillbilly, inbred piece of shit!" Hayden growled abrasively. Hayden stiffened his face as he seethed with more boldness even though Axel looked like a trapped bunny amid wolves like the hardy Boyz. Heat crept up Axel's throat and face because he was pissed off about all the perturbation he was getting from them. He watched as Ryan winced as she tried to remove herself and mulled over their relationship. Deep down, he had thought she was contrite about what she had done, but he knew that her conscience pricked her. "If only she had stayed a little longer with him before she bubbled him, she might have had to enjoy his riches but
Principal Oberon Collymore massaged his temples as he mulled over at his desk in his office. Duncan Hillside High School had been a heavy load to carry and manage as the principal, but he had to do it nevertheless. His brows furrowed, as he chewed the temple tip of his recommended glasses in his palm and put them on his back. He glanced through the list of aced students he had planned to award soon. He stumbled across Axel's name and nodded his head. He heard about the news and he had so much hope for Axel, but felt bad that he had to be expelled. He knew he couldn't undermine the command that Elias gave as a senior member of the board, and he had to comply. He felt contrite about the fact that he was the one who gave the expulsion verdict. He gritted his teeth, as he mulled over how Axel must have felt all this while. He was known to be very friendly and sympathetic towards the students, too bad his powers and authority were limited when it came to issues that the full board w
Oberon jolted at his desk as he heaved a shuddering grunt. "What! How? When!" He barked succinctly. Drew nodded his head succinctly. "Yes, principal. We had just departed from him after we exchanged greetings when the news got to us and we had to report to you before we took the next step," Drew added. Oberon's knees became like rubber as he whimpered in distress. His hands quivered as he heaved a heavy breath. "Where is this happening?" He spoke succinctly. "At the school field," Drew, Quinn and Charmaine said in unison. Oberon waltzed out of his office immediately towards the school field with a plethora of anxious thoughts flushing through his mind. Drew, Quin and Charmaine followed after briskly because they knew this time they must stand against the hardy Boyz in a polemic manner. Oberon waltzed into the school field in a panicky manner. Even though his job as the principal of the school was threatened, he knew that wasn't the cure reason why he would love to do Birch's bi
A state of anxiety rippled through the air as everyone wondered who Axel was to Oberon and why Oberon would take his side. Axel's Pals, Drew, Quinn and Charmaine waggled close to him to comfort him because of what he had gone through. He was indeed in a mess. Oberon's eyes glittered with sadistic emotions. He couldn't believe that he might have partially failed in his task, as Axel was still assaulted and everything went tit-up. Oberon's head cringed as he waggled contritely towards Axel's side. "I'm sorry, I didn't know who you were, but now I do," He said in a very hush and hoarse voice. Axel's friends were dumbfounded and felt bewildered that Oberon was trying to hoodwink Axel into thinking he was supporting him over Hayden and his guys. Axel understood and chuckled inwardly as a sly grin appeared on his face. He knew he had to be subtle if he still wanted to shield his identity even from his closest friends. "Drew, Quinn and Charmaine, you can leave now," He flashed a perf
Axel was scoffed at because he looked so unkempt and scraggy. It was supposed to be Gertrude's history class and everyone was in anticipation of his arrival. He frowned deeply and inwardly where he sat. His best pals weren't present in class because of an impromptu group meeting outside history they had to attend and they took excuses. He would have had someone to talk to, to feel less bad. His palms pressed hard against his chest as he wished that the cacophony and fracas could end in a second. The jest made lumps grow in his throat which made him feel uncomfortable. It got to a time when his cheek burned in anger when he couldn't take it anymore and bobbed his eyes shut. Hayden and Ryan alongside the hardy Boyz stormed into the class. Axel's eyes twitched because he felt bad. The corner of his lips fell towards the floor. He was prudent enough to hide such emotions. Even though he was the emotional type, he was very confident in himself that he would be able to get over her
Gertrude waggled into the classroom with a scowl on his face. He knew that Hayden and his pals were up to some unscrupulous acts again which he strongly detests. His presence caused the cacophony to halt succinctly. He honed in towards Hayden with his intense eyes as the whole class got ready for the lecture. Drew, Quinn and Charmaine returned and waltzed into the class from the meeting they had in the group. Hayden's lips stuck out playfully because he knew the mischief he had created. Gertrude seethed through clenched teeth and hissed with disgust as he flipped open his textbook to start with the class. His tone was laced with coldness as he skimmed through on revision of what they did in the last class. When he was done with the class, he waltzed out in a caveating manner to Hayden and the rest of the hardy Boyz... Axel was gleeful to return home, then towards the hospital to inform his foster mom about everything that had happened. Oaklynn growled with exasperation after A
Charmaine lips quivered and she had no choice but to stutter with her words. "What's that..." She shuddered. Her stomach flipped and her eyes became more flickering as she blushed. "I think I do care about you more than a friend. I do like you, and I want us to be more intimate than we have already been," Axel pronounced making her feel a thrill in her heart as he shot a piercing gaze at Charmaine which made her jaw drop. "Ooh, okay," Charmaine said and they stopped dancing and she shot a desiring look at Axel also. She knew that Axel had a sparkle in his eyes that intrigued her. "I do like and care about you also at first, but I wasn't sure you were ready for a relationship and that's why I didn't bother telling you," Charmaine summoned boldness to express her feelings effusively. "Wow?" Axel stuttered, his tone laced with astonishment and his ears perked up in delight. "Yes," Charmane replied gazing deeply into Axel's eyes and Axel, like a love predator before his prey gave he
"Who would dare suspend you?!" A wave of fury rippled through Elias as he clenched his fist in rage. "Principal Oberon of course! Dad and I do not understand what's going on," Hayden croaked out bitterly. "Then it must be a misunderstanding. Just one phone call and everything would be in order," Elias rumbled, perturbed at what he was being told. "I just hope, because I am just wondering why that puny little turd of a young man, Axel who was a new student would be favoured over me in a case," Hayden grimaced as he exited to his room. Elias's wife, Rita came in afterwards from the kitchen in a concerned mood. "I heard Hayden's voice. Don't tell me he is at it again, him and his unscrupulous acts once again?" Rita let out a low puff. "Come on, shouldn't Hayden be given the regard he deserves as being our son? Now that good-for-nothing, Principal Oberon is threatening to suspend him," Elias yipped under his lungs. "All am saying is you shouldn't support him yet when you haven't hea
