After I healed my burned jaw, Aki's flames didn't hold back on me any longer or rather, Aki did not hold back on me any longer.

They were fast; almost faster than Aki.

I couldn't touch them or I was going to burn. They shouldn't touch me or I was going to burn.

The only thing I could do was hop around and dodge their attacks as fast as possible.

As the wielder of the ability, Aki could make his flames burn or save.

When he created the palm that saved Langrid when I pushed him off the fence, Aki's flames had saved.

But right now, they were all out to burn me. Unlike the cool green flames he used to save Langrid, these ones were a ferocious blood red.

"You're slacking, Kastian. They are going to catch up pretty quickly and burn you." I caught a smile on his face as he stood from a distance, watching me; watching us.

His smile made me feel like he might have always wanted to burn me.

I pushed myself to the right and dragged my feet to my sides as fast as possible before they caught on my
