CHAPTER 11: My Roommate

“Yup, they’re twins” Reynolds promptly answered.

“Whoa, who’s the strongest?” Yetunde inquired, reaching for her seat.

“It’s definitely….. Blake!” Reynolds replied, earnestly staring at Blake, who was wearing a really tired expression.

“Really!” Yetunde inquired with her interest piqued.

“Yes. I’ve known them for a long time and I can boast about Blake’s strength…. He’s freaking strong” Reynolds replied, slamming his fist together.

“And I want to become stronger than him!” He added with a bright smirk.

“That’s awesome!” She commented.

The Registration took approximately an hour to be completed, as students hauled themselves back to their seats.

Blake reluctantly mounted the podium, staring eerily at the students.

“Alright since that’s been taken care off, it’s time to assign you all to your various dorms.

 Please take a look at the tiny metal disk we gave to you guys” Blake nonchalantly said.

Immediately, All the students took out a tiny metal disk which had a white color with blue colored runic symbols, engraved into body.

“That’s a Tag indicating your various rooms. Each tag are labeled from One to Fifty, those people with the same Tag label, are apparently roommates. In your rooms, you’ll find you’re Luggage’s and your materials which you’ll need for your classes.

Living that aside, the Academy is filled with various Facilities and equipment’s which you’ll needed during your studies, please I’m urging you all to properly use this Facilities” Blake explained, caressing his hair softly.

“What’s your Tag label?” Rey inquired after glancing at his.

“Fifteen!” Yetunde promptly responded.

“How about yours?” She inquired, staring earnestly at the handsome youth beside her.

“Fifty” Reynolds whispered, smacking his face in disappointment.

“I just wish I’m not stuck with some weirdo” He prayed, causing Yetunde erupt in laughter.

“Would you relax?” She mockingly commented.

“Everything will be fine, you won’t get stuck with a weirdo” She sarcastically added.

“You’re making of me!” Rey awkwardly said.

“A little bit” Yetunde replied, releasing a hearty chuckle.

The Orientation took another hour before it was finally over. Despite the conclusion of the ceremony, the Head Instructors jobs weren’t over, as they still had to give the newly enrolled students of their various Faction, a tour of the school, also showing them the Dormitory area. After the tour was over, the students were prompted head to their various dorms, awaiting further instructions.

Yetunde was seen strolling the Halls of the Fire Faction female Dormitory, with a small metal disk in her hand. It was obvious that she was presently searching for her room. She wasn’t the only person in the Hall that was searching for their rooms.

After a couple of seconds, she finally found her but before she could enter inside, she was momentarily obstructed by another person, who apparently wanted to enter the room.

“Huh?” Yetunde blurted, staring at the other party.

The other party was obviously another female. She had long blonde hair, beaming brown eyes with an average body physique. She was extremely beautiful, placing her on par with Yetunde.

Both girl stared at each other, waiting for the other to make a move.

‘”I guess we’re roommates” Yetunde said, trying to break the awkward silence.

“You’re Yetunde!” The Latter momentarily exclaimed

“Yeah!” Yetunde said, confusedly staring at the girl in front of her.

“O.M.G, you’re Yetunde!” She continued to exclaim, shrinking in joy.

“What’s the big deal?” Yetunde curiously inquired.

“I don’t even know your name!” She promptly added.

“I’m Vanessa….. Vanessa Hart from North Aerica District!” The Latter excitedly exclaimed, grabbing the attention of the other students in the hall.

“Would you keep it down!” The Other students simultaneously exclaimed.

“Sorry!” Yetunde exclaimed, pulling Vanessa into the room.

The room was extremely large and spacious. It was had two different beds which were obviously for two people. It also had other convenient facilities which were really important. In front of each bed, was an equipped desk for each student.

“Alright Vanessa, what’s the huge idea!” Yetunde said, glaring at her new roomie.

“Nothing…nothing, it’s just that you’re my hero” Vanessa replied, gasping in awe.

“Hero, what do you mean Hero? Yetunde confusedly exclaimed.

“Why am I your Hero and what the hell did I do?” She promptly added, glaring at Vanessa for answers.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Vanessa asked, wearing a proud smirk.

“No, no it’s not. Now start talking!” Yetunde said.

“Fine. Everyone knows you, as the girl without an Affinity. Despite those awful things people said about you, you didn’t give up and finally you’re here!” Vanessa explained.

“That’s why you’re my hero, you never gave up, even if everything seemed crazy” She added, wearing a bright smile.

Hearing Vanessa’s proclamation, Yetunde began to recall all the things that she passed through, just to get into the academy. Feeling exhausted, Yetunde took a sit on the bed right by her side.

“I guess you’re right!” She brightly commented.

“I’m glad you find my life inspiring, but please don’t make it weird. I’m still a normal girl like you” Yetunde said, staring at Vanessa.

“Alright, you’re highness!” She replied, respectfully bowing before Yetunde.

Seeing this out right display, Yetunde frightfully shrieked, waving her hands frantically at Vanessa, “You’re still making it weird!” She worriedly exclaimed.

“Oh, I’m really sorry about that!” Vanessa promptly replied.

“It’s fine!” Yetunde commented

After their brief discussion, both girls discovered that their Luggage’s, which they handed over to The Ushers, were presently in the room. Yetunde took the left bed while Vanessa took the right bed, as they began to unpack their belongings.

As the process went on, they noticed something odd. The Metal disk which they received from Blake, suddenly glowed with a bright blue color.

“Good day newly enrolled Students, This is Head Instructor Blake speaking” Blake’s voice boomed out from the metal disk.

“This message is to inform you all that you’re Lectures begins tomorrow, at The Great Hall.

You advised to come along with your general-tier Grimoire which you’ll find on specific desk.

Please be there on time, Blake out” The Obnoxious Instructor said.

Immediately, the Blue glowed faded and the transmission ended. Filled with curiosity, Yetunde left her current task, heading straight to her designated desk.

Without putting much effort in her search, Yetunde found a brown colored book which has several runic symbols. By the general-tier Grimoire, was another book, but unlike the first one, this book had a more complex design.

It had a bright crimson color, with multi metallic designs, which made the book stand out. The title of the book was ‘Special-tier Grimoire’ and judging by its exquisite design, it was clearly special. Beside the Grimoire’s, was a strangely shaped pen. It had a white color with a gold ball point and blue designs. Judging by its appearance, one could tell the Strange pen was a result of Arcatech.

At Night,

Yetunde was seen lying on her bed, staring earnestly at the ceiling. She was wearing a white colored night gown, snuggling her cozy blanket, earnestly trying to fall asleep. She turned her attention to her roommate, who was already deep in her sleep. For some reason, Yetunde found it extremely hard to sleep.

“Hmm, Dad, I miss you” She whispered towards the ceiling.

“But don’t worry about me, I’m alright…… and I promise to make you proud!” She said, immediately passing out.

The Next day,

The Great Hall.

All the First Year students were seen sitting earnestly in their seats, waiting for their Instructor.

“Are you serious?” Reynolds said , while laughed hysterically.

“Yeah, she was a little crazy!” Yetunde replied, obviously referring to Vanessa.

“You can’t blame her, you’re really inspiring” Reynolds mockingly commented.

“Haha, real funny. What about your Roommate?” Yetunde curiously inquired.

“Like I said yesterday, He’s a total weirdo!” Reynolds said, rolling his eyes

Hearing Reynolds, Yetunde couldn’t help but erupt in laughter, “Sorry about that!” She said, trying suck up her laughter.

“It’s not your fault!” He commented.

“What’s his name ?” Yetunde curiously inquired.

“Kyle Jordan!” Rey promptly replied.

“Sounds cool” Yetunde said, staring at Rey.

“There’s nothing cool about him. He’s just a freaking nuisance” Reynolds exclaimed, frantically waving his hands in annoyance.

“Alright Drama king” Yetunde said , shifting her attention towards the Giant board like structure in the front of the hall.

Suddenly, a man dressed in a white long sleeve shirt with a black colored trouser alongside a blue neck tie, walked into the Hall. His presence instantly caused the noisy students to discontinue their chatter, fixating their attention on him. He stood by the Giant board like structure, earnestly staring at the students.

“Good day Students… My name is Joyner Wilson, an Instructor from the Lightning Faction and I will be your Instructor, taking you all on Arcane History” The man brightly exclaimed.

“I know you all are here to learn the Fundamental principles and aspects of The Arcane which you’ll imbibe into your various Affinities, but firstly, you will have to learn the Historical details of the Arcane” Joyner explained.
