Ally did not pay attention. In his mind only one idea: Adrián.

Before I could react, Roxanne took a step towards the nursing door.

He raised his head slowly, and looked at her with a mixture of sadness and anger in his eyes. The pain was evident, as if his whole world had collapsed at that time, and Ally felt smaller than ever. His soul shouted for him, but the words seemed not to achieve.

"Why did you do it, Ally?", Said Adrián, his broken voice, as if each word cost him a monumental effort. "I don't understand. Why didn't you tell me before? Why didn't you tell me what you felt for Ryan before using me? Did you forget our conversation yesterday when we made love?"

Ally swallowed, feeling that the weight of guilt crushed her. I knew the words were not enough, but I had to try.

"Adrián, please...", he began, but his voice vanished to see the expression on his face. "It wasn't what you think. Ryan... He... does not mean anything to me. It was just a mistake. Something I should never allow. But I swear, I swear I love you, and that you are the only thing I want".

Adrián closed his eyes for a moment, as if those words hurt him more than the coup itself.

"I don't understand why you do this to me, Ally", His voice was low, almost in a whisper, as if he were struggling not to surrender to crying. "I have given you everything. I gave you my trust, my love, my everything. And you? Did you hide this? Did you list all this time?"

Ally felt unable to respond, unable to erase the storm he had unleashed with his mistake. He wanted to hug him, comfort him, but he knew his pain was deep, and the words could not cure him.

"I don't ask you to forgive me," he said finally, his eyes are full of tears that he didn't want him to see. "I just want you to know ... I'm sorry. I feel more than you can imagine, but I don't want to lose you. Not only that, but I don't want to lose what we are. Nor do I want to lose the future we will be".

Adrián rose slowly, his gaze is fixed on her, but her posture so distant, so cold, that she seemed as if she were seeing it from another world.

"Maybe this is what we need, Ally. Maybe we can't keep together after all.", He said with a low voice, but firm, as if he had made an irrevocable decision. "You made a mistake, and I don't know if I can continue trusting you".

The air stopped around Ally. Every Adrián's word was like a dagger in his heart. She had hoped that she could understand, that she could give her a chance to explain, but everything seemed to be crumbled before her eyes.

"Please, Adrián...", he whispered, advancing a step towards him. "It's not what you think. I promise you that it was a mistake. Please don't leave me..."

But he looked at her for the last time, his eyes full of pain and disappointment.

"I loved you, Ally. But now I don't know if I can keep loving you after this. Maybe it's time to let it go".

With those words, Adrián took a step back, and before Ally could say something else, he turned around and moved away from her, then, a flying skateboard suddenly appeared, Adrián mounted on her and quickly, moved away.

Ally stayed there, in the same place, motionless, with the soul made in pieces. He knew that he had made an irreparable mistake, but worst of all was that, no matter how much he tried, he did not know if he would be able to fix it. Everything had changed, and she had lost the only person who had meant everything to her.

With a last look at the void where Adrián had disappeared, Ally collapsed against the wall, letting tears fall without control.
