Adrian's Awakening: Wake up in the magical world

Before Ally could remain submerged in her pain, Roxanne appeared. 

"Ally! Honey, are you okay? What happened?", Adrián's mother asked with concern to see the girl submerged in a sea of ​​crying without control.

"Adrián ended with me! He saw that stupid kiss that Ryan stole me and that's why he never reached nursing! Adrián was here, I tried to convince him that it was a mistake, but instead, he did not let me talk, and simply decided not to continue with ours", Ally responded in the middle of the plain. 

Roxanne felt his heart explode inside. She was more worried than before, with her son mired in a depression, Adrián would be able to do anything to not feel like that.

"Ally, beautiful. Go home, rest, let me take care of this, yes?", Roxanne added. 

But Ally did not seem willing to access, she was lost in her feelings, and she didn't want to listen to anyone. 

Then, without thinking more, Roxanne decided to hurry, and with magic he disappeared from that place to get home faster than it would have taken if he had decided to walk.

When he came home, he felt the atmosphere a bit heavy, at the same time, a deep sadness toured his entire body, instinctively, he looked at the kitchen, and out of nowhere, he knew that something was wrong, in addition to that he saw the signal, the drawer where she kept the cutlery was completely open, and the knives had fallen to the ground, scattered everywhere.

Roxanne swallowed, feeling nervous and imagining the worst. 

He hastened and ran to his son's room. 

Adrián had been a fool, despite having key his door, he knew that Roxanne would do the impossible to open it, and then, with magic, he broke the door, lying it immediately to the ground when a strong gust of wind came out from his hand. 

And upon entering the boy's room, he met the worst scene in the world. 

Adrián lying on the ground, with the body located in a mouth position, his hands and legs were extended on both sides, and in one of his hands, a knife of the kitchen rested on it. In the other, Adrián had left a piece of paper with a message written in it.

"Adrián, no!", Roxanne shouted with horror, and ran to approach his son's body, who did not respond to his calls. 

Quickly, Roxanne took the note, and read what he said: 

“Mom, I'm sorry to have caused you a lot of pain with this decision I have made, but understand me that I am suffering a lot. Ally is the love of my life, and that I have betrayed me with my worst enemy, I will never forgive it. Therefore, remembering that I have reached this world where I was happy, through reincarnation, I have decided to die to reincarnate in a new world, where to live a new life, and where to leave pain aside. I'm very sorry, you've been the best mother I could have in life after my first death. Please continue with your life, I will try to continue with mine in another world. He loves you, Adrián. ”

Roxanne was shaking, with the letter in hand, unable to believe what he read. The pain in his chest was unbearable. His son, his dear Adrián, had made an irreversible decision, seeking to escape the suffering of a lost love. Despair invaded her, but something inside woke her up, as if an ancestral instinct told her that there was still something she could do.

With a drowned cry, Roxanne dropped the letter to the ground and, with an explosion of magical energy, closed his eyes and concentrated on the only place where his son could still be: the path of souls. He could not allow Adrián to disappear in eternity. He couldn't let his pain decide his destiny without knowing where he would end.

A swirl of energy surrounded Roxanne and, before realizing, was found in a vast emptiness, surrounded by a mantle of fog and darkness. He knew he was on the threshold of souls, the place between life and death. A place where the souls of the dead roamed, looking for their way to reincarnation or oblivion. And there he was.

Adrián floated in nothingness, his ethereal body, younger, as if time had backed away, as if he were a lost child in his own suffering. His face reflected sadness, but also confusion, as if he couldn't remember who he was or why he was there. Roxanne felt a stab in his heart when he saw him so vulnerable, so distant.

"Adrián", he whispered in a broken voice, extending a hand towards him.

He looked at her, but did not seem to recognize her completely. His eyes were dark, as if he were caught between two worlds, as if his soul were about to fade.

"Mother?", Adrián's voice was weak, like a distant echo, full of pain. "Why are you here? You can't save me, there is no way to return. I am lost... and I am waiting to address my new life".

Roxanne felt a wave of despair. How could he think that? His son was not lost, he was just injured. She couldn't let her fader in the dark.

"Adrián, listen to me", his voice was firm, despite the knot in his throat. "You are not a child who must flee from pain. Life is not about forgetting suffering, but about learning to live with him, to heal. You can't leave me, you can't let your soul get lost for something as ephemeral as a confused adolescent betraya".

Adrián took a step back, as if his ethereal body struggled to free himself from the invisible chains that tied him to that place.

"I've tried, mom", His voice trembled. "I have tried, but every time I approach Ally, the pain consumes me. How can I follow if I can't forgive what he did to me?", Roxanne took a step towards him, letting mother's love guide her movements.

"Forgiveness is not for them, son", He said tenderly. "It's for you. It is for you to free yourself from the load you consume. You cannot live tied to what you can no longer change. Pain is just a chapter, not your complete story".

Adrián looked at his mother, and something in his eyes began to soften, as if somehow began to understand what she said. But the doubt was still present, and the temptation to surrender maintained it there, in that space between life and death.

"But, mom... what if everything I have now is this void?", he asked, his soul trembling. "What happens if I can't go back?"

Roxanne extended her hand, with her eyes full of hope.

- You have a new opportunity, Adrián. A new path. But this will not be defined by what you lost. It will be defined by what you decide to be. And I will be here for you, always.

A soft light began to surround Adrián, as if the path of souls was calling him. However, Roxanne did not turn away. He continued to hold him, reminding him of the life he still had to live.

Adrián closed his eyes for a moment, then, with a deep sigh, he turned to his mother.

"Do you think that I can be happy again?", he asked, his voice firmer than before.

"I know, Adrián. I know", Roxanne smiled, although the tears continued to slide down her face. "Go home. There is a life waiting for you, do not miss in the past".

And so, with a last look full of love, Adrián began to fade slowly, returning to the world where he had previously had the opportunity to reincarnate, leaving behind the mist that his soul had wrapped.

Roxanne sighed deeply, there is a weight disappearing from her chest. He knew that he could not avoid all the suffering of his son, he was a teenager who was just beginning to live, but what he had achieved this time, having brought him back, was a reminder that, sometimes, the most difficult decisions do not define Our life, but how we decided to face them.
