Adrian's Awakening: Wake up in the magical world

A flash of white light illuminated the room, dissipating the gloom with an ethereal warmth. The air vibrated for a moment and, as if the time had stopped, everything remained in an absolute silence.

Adrián breathed deeply, his chest rose and fell accompanied. His skin, before pale and icy on the threshold of souls, now shone with vitality. His face, quiet, reflected the peace of a deep sleep. He was lying on his bed, with the relaxed body, as if nothing had happened. His clothes were no longer stained with blood nor showed signs of the torment he had gone through. Instead, he wore a simple white, soft and light robe.

Next to him, sitting on the edge of the bed, Roxanne watched him in silence. His eyes shone with a mixture of relief and tiredness. After having fought with death itself to bring your son back, seeing him rest with such serenity was the greatest reward he could receive. I had achieved the unthinkable, but I knew that this was just the beginning of a new path for both.

Adrián began to move slightly, his breathing stirred, before opening his eyes slowly. He blinked several times, trying to adapt to the soft light of the room. Feeling the warmth of the sheets and the mattress under his body, he frowned in confusion. He did not remember when he had returned. The last thing he remembered was his mother's voice, calling him among the fog of that world that dragged him back to his end and a new beginning, attracting him back to the home that he had almost left behind forever.

"Mom ..." His voice was just a whisper, hoarse and weak. The boy moved with difficulty despite being comfortable in his bed. 

Roxanne outlined a trembling smile when he heard his voice. His heart, which had been tight by fear, could finally relax.

"I'm here, my love," she whispered, posing a hand on her cheek with tenderness.

Adrián stared at her, trying to process everything he felt at that time. He had returned. I was at home. But the pain was still there, latent in the depths of his being.

"I thought ... I thought there was no going back," he murmured, looked away.

Roxanne stroked her hair, with the same tenderness she had done when she was a child.

"There is always a return path, son." It doesn't matter how dark it seems everything, while I am here, you will never be alone.

Adrián felt a lump in his throat. He knew that his mother had fought for him, that he hadn't let him go. And although Ally pain still hurt like an open wound, he also felt something different: hope.

He closed his eyes for a moment and sighed deeply. Maybe, just maybe, I could start over.

Roxanne continued by his side, in silence, letting his son rest. I knew there was still a long way to go, but for now, the most important thing was that Adrián was here, I live.

After a couple of hours, Roxanne woke up realizing that he had fallen asleep, hugging his son's sleeping chest, but he also woke up. This time, feeling more alive than ever, and eager for revenge against Ally and Ryan for hurting him. 

"Mother", said Adrián, this time, speaking normally. His voice could be heard, and determined. 

"Yeah?", She replied. 

"Tomorrow can I return to the Academy? I am ready to continue with my life no matter what happened". 

Roxanne smiled, was very soon for him to return, more taking into account the scandal that had armed between the students after the fighting, however, if he was ready, he would return to the academy, there was no better remedy to heal of a broken heart to face what broke it. 

"Okay, if you feel sure, do it. He returns to classes tomorrow, but be very careful, I don't want more fights, or problems. OK?"

"Yes, mom. I promise". 

"I will let you still rest to recover energies, and you can return to class tomorrow". 

With a kiss on the forehead, Roxanne said goodbye to his son and went to his room to continue resting the rest of the night. 

While sleeping, the boy did not stop imagining what his revenge against Ryan would be as soon as he found him in the academy's hall.

The sun had just begun to look out when Adrián got out of bed, feeling renewed energy traveling his body. He went to the mirror and watched carefully. His reflection was the same, but something inside him had changed. His eyes had a darker shine, his expression looked more safe, more challenging. He dressed in the academy uniform and left his room with a firm step.

Roxanne was waiting for him in the kitchen with a cup of tea in his hand. He looked at him with a mixture of pride and concern.

"Are you ready?", He asked gently.

"Moreover", Adrian replied with a tilted smile.

Roxanne said nothing more. He knew that his son was no longer the same, but he hoped he would find his way. He gave him a small box with lunch and wished him luck. Adrián left the house with a strong determination, his mind full of thoughts about his return and what would come later.

When he arrived at the Academy, the looks perched on him immediately. No one said anything, but they all noticed the change in their aura. Before, Adrián was someone who, although he had some attraction, maintained a barrier between him and others. Now, that barrier seemed to have faded. He walked safely, with an air of authority that he had never shown before.

The most popular girls, who just looked at him or who used to ignore, now approached without hesitation. Flirtatious smiles, curious looks, hands that brushed their arm with dissimulation. Adrián did not reject them, as he used to do it. Instead, he dedicated an enigmatic smile, allowing his presence to approach him, as if he enjoyed attention.

From a distance, Ally watched the scene with a tight heart. Something in him was different. Not only his attitude, but the energy he gave off. It was darker, more intense. As if something inside him had changed irreversibly.

Ryan also noticed the difference and frowned. He knew that Adrián was not someone to underestimate, but now he felt that something had woken up in him, something dangerous.

When their eyes crossed in the hall, Adrián did not look away. He did not avoid the confrontation as before. Instead, he sustained his eyes with a cold smile, as if he were throwing a silent challenge. Ryan felt a chill to travel his back, but did not allow his discomfort to be noticed.

"Wow, what a surprise to see you here," Ryan said with fake indifference.

Adrián tilted his head, maintaining his impassive smile.

"Surprise? I don't see why. This has always been my place”, he replied calmly, but with a security that made his words weigh more than normal.

Ryan narrowed his eyes. Something in Adrián disturbed him, but he couldn't show weakness. Not here, not in front of everyone. However, in the depths, I knew that this Adrián was not the same as he had defeated before. And that worried him.

Ally squeezed his fists while watching the scene. He knew that Adrián was not someone to easily forget. And now, for the first time, he felt fear of what he could do.
