"Even though you don't have an ability, you will still have to go through the tests so that your power level will be accessed," The female instructor said to Ryan and then pressed the button she had initially pressed.

The bright light engulfed the five of them, causing them to close their eyes and when they reopened them again, they were surprised to see themselves in a grass field.

"This is where your tests will be taking place," she announced and pointed at the barrier that was some miles away from where they were standing. "Your targets will come out from there, hit as many as you can without getting hit by any of them!"

Just as she finished instructing them, black ball-like objects began to emerge from the barrier.

"You are first, so begin!" The instructor, of course, said to Ryan who nodded in reply and walked further to the center of the land.

'So I'll just hit as many as I can.' Ryan thought as he waited for the targets to start coming at him.

Soon, he got into the action by hitting the ball-like objects with his fists and trying his best not to get hit by any of them.

It was taking quite a while and momentarily, the speed of the targets increased, making it difficult for him to dodge the attacks. He didn't want to fail just yet and so he had to put in more of his best and continue dodging.

Running around the whole place would eventually wear anyone down and so it was for Ryan. He could not keep up with the speed, especially when it increased the third time. Just as he speculated, he got hit by one of the targets, signaling the end of that test. He was breathing heavily but that didn't concern the female instructor.

"Your next test is punching this mechanical drum, now go for it!" She instructed.

He was quite stunned and curious about how the female instructor was able to make things appear and disappear. This large mechanical drum wasn't there initially, and as such, he was interested in knowing what ability the lady has.

He headed to the mechanical drum and got prepared to punch it as instructed. After stretching his arm, he got ready and then punched the drum with all the strength within him.

On the surface of the drum displayed the number ten.

He turned afterward to see the look on the instructor's face and just as he thought, she was looking at him in disappointment. But what could he do? He sighed and walked back to where he was standing before.

"Agility 10, strength 10. Ryan White, your ability-power level is 2 which means you are a level 2 ability user!" The instructor announced and then noted it down on her tablet. Once she finished writing it, the number 2 appeared on his wrist.

"Thank you," Ryan mumbled to the instructor and then backed away from there.

The next to be called was Rina.

She walked forward confidently without sparing anyone a glance. She stood in the center of the field, waiting for the test to begin.

Five random targets appeared across the land, she quickly formed an ice spear and tossed it at the first near target, hitting it dead on. She repeated it four more times at an incredible speed.

"So hers is an ice ability," Ryan noted as he stared at her interestingly.

For the next test, Rina was even more outstanding. She began to gather ice in both of her palms and then after a minute of gathering her power, a huge ice pillar shot out from her hands and hit the center of the mechanical drum. It rang louder than it had before and the numbers kept going up until it eventually reached 30.

"Wow! No wonder she had the guts to play me dirty," Taylor noted with a thoughtful expression on his face.

Ryan immediately realized that it was a good thing the both of them didn't fight, otherwise, Taylor would have ended up becoming dead meat.

"That's an impressive action," the female instructor praised Rina for her efforts and then noted it down on her tablet, as she noted it down, a number appeared on Rina's wrist. "You are among the first five students to be a level 5 ability user in the whole school. Congratulations!"

Rina beamed and walked back to her spot.

"How was my performance?" She whispered next to Ryan.

'You did well," He replied with a warm smile that made her blush.

The next person to be called was Eve.

Just like Rina, Eve confidently marched to the center of the field and stood. She stretched out her hand and a long spear appeared in it.

The moment five targets appeared, she threw the spear at them. Everyone had their attention on her, they wanted to see how she was going to deal with the five targets at once.

She on the other hand had her attention solely on the spear. Right before everyone's eyes, the spear suddenly split up into five, and each of them went straight to their own target.

"Oh, mine! How the hell did she do that?" Taylor gasped with interest. "What is it called again?... Telekinesis, I see..." He replied to himself and then beamed.

On the next test, she went ahead and did what Rina did. She sent her spear to the mechanical drum and it hit it, causing a loud noise to be heard. The numbers kept going up until they eventually got to number 20.

"Impressive as well, level 4 ability user. That is a good result," the instructor said after she was done noting the result on her tablet.

Eve did not react, it was as though it didn't matter to her, or maybe she wasn't happy with the result. She marched back to where she was standing and stood beside her brother who whispered some words to her as if encouraging her or something.

"Taylor, you are next!" The instructor called.

"Wish me luck, bro!" Taylor whispered to Ryan before heading to the center of the field. There he stood, waiting for the test to begin.

The five targets appeared before him and he got into a stance.

Others may not be curious about him but Ryan was. He seemed very much curious about what ability this playful yet strange boy had.

Flamy particles began to gather around his palms and after some minutes, a large flame arrow was soon formed. He stretched out his hand and a bow appeared on it.

The bow didn't look all that impressive but it was eye-catching. The body of the bow was made of some beast skin and it looked extremely powerful, at least, one would know from the aura it was emitting.

He placed the large arrow in between his bow and aimed it at his targets. In the next second, the arrow was seen flying at an extremely high speed toward those targets. The arrow hit the first one and as expected of it, it was supposed to hit the other targets but it didn't hit them. But suddenly, the remaining four targets soon began to disappear until none was left.

"Hmmph! The boy has got some skills," Rina could not help but note. She never thought that the boy who seemed like a pervert would actually be skillful this way. "The fire ability looks pretty nice, no lie."

"Sure." Ryan couldn't agree less with Rina. Each of them was impressive in their way, well except for him. He seemed not lucky as they were.

Taylor moved to the next test, he made the same arrow and sent it toward the mechanical drum. The arrow hit the drum hard, so much that an ear-piercing sound was made out of it. The number on it kept going high until it eventually reached the number 60.

"That's great!" The female instructor clapped happily. "You are the first student to become a level 6 ability user in this school, this is awesome!" She beamed and noted down the result on her tablet.

Taylor smiled widely and then walked back to where he was standing before. He nudged Ryan on the arm and winked at him.

"How was I?" He asked him.

"Not bad," He replied flatly.

"Not bad? Hmm... are you jealous or something?" Taylor could not help but ask and laugh slightly at the end.

"Jealous my ass!" Ryan mumbled and looked away. He wasn't in any way jealous as Taylor had claimed but inwardly, he could not hide the fact that he was impressed with his power.

It was the last person's turn and so he sighed and looked ahead, he was also eager to know how good this cold-faced male twin was.

Elvis walked directly to the center of the field and got ready for his test.

He had the earth ability and so the moment those targets popped out, he stormed his foot on the ground and created spikes of rocks, and shut them towards the targets. Although he wasn't all that impressive like the others, he was certainly better than Ryan.

He quickly moved to his next test and then stormed his foot on the ground again. A large rock rose into the air and aimed directly at the mechanical drum.

*Boom*

A loud noise resounded in the field at the impact.

Surprisingly, the drum didn't break as expected of it.

"Impressive, you're overall score is 50. You are also a level 5 ability user!"

After the test was over, the female instructor guided us back to the school while the other students went up for their test.

The twins parted ways while Rina, Ryan, and Taylor stayed together.
