Chapter fifteen

Mr. Skanda POV.

I sat in my bedroom, alone. It was one of those nights I spent in tears, one of those nights that I couldn't bring myself to fall asleep. No man would be able to fall asleep when his house was on fire, and it was surprising how my wife slept like a baby next to me.

I was unsure if she knew what was going on. Everyone in the house was counting down on the days our only surviving daughter had on earth, except her. she was still her usual moody self, she didn't even care to spend extra time with Kerah, and neither did she care to find a way to help.

I looked at her through the dark, she was snoring lightly. I could make out her full frame on the bed, and that was all thanks to the nightwear that she had on. It was a white nighty.
