It wasn't Gavin's first time driving recklessly. The man pressed the horn repeatedly when a vehicle blocked his path. It was not uncommon for drivers to yell expletives at Gavin.

At the moment, Gavin was in a tizzy. His mind is filled with Kiana, his little sister. Five minutes ago, one of his men informed him that Kiana had been in a single accident. The taxi she was traveling in had crashed into concrete, allegedly because the driver was sleepy.

Arriving at the hospital, Gavin ran like a maniac. He was looking for Kiana's hospital room. Time and time again, Gavin almost ran into people passing by. Gavin even accidentally pushed a man his own age, causing him to fall and almost hit his head on a trash can.

Once in front of Kiana's door, Gavin barged straight in. He almost lost his balance if he didn't hold on to the side of the bed.

In front of him Kiana was closing her eyes. Her head was wrapped in a white cloth. There were abrasions on her arms and face.

Gavin's hand reached out to grasp Kiana's. The man sat on the chair. He rested his head on the back of Kiana's hand. Slowly, tears began to be heard. For his life this time, Gavin could not prevent the accident that happened to Kiana. Everything went according to the flow of life, only the difference was in Gavin. Back when the accident happened, Gavin was busy working in his father's office. So, he didn't have time to visit Kiana. So that made the girl angry and silenced Gavin for several days.

Gavin raised his head. The man's lips trembled. "Ki, is there something you're hiding from me?"

Gavin's eyes looked at Kiana softly. Many changes had happened to his sister. Including Kiana's attitude. The girl seemed to be holding something back but was reluctant to tell Gavin, or perhaps hesitant.

The sky had turned orange. However, Kiana still hadn't woken up yet. The girl seemed to be sleeping peacefully. Meanwhile, on the sofa was Gavin who was focused on his work. The man had returned home to bring a change of clothes and also a laptop.

"What? The car Kiana was traveling in was sabotaged?" Gavin tried to keep his voice low, but the angry tone was still clear. The man clenched his hands into fists. He was about to hit the table, but decided against it. Gavin realized he wasn't alone here. There was Kiana, who was still unconscious.

"Yes, sir. Also, the original driver was found unconscious on the side of the road," an informant continued.

Gavin squeezed his tie. He punched the air in a fit of rage. He didn't want to be prejudiced, but Gavin was sure that all of this must be the work of his father's wives and Lyodra, his ambitious half-sister.

"Soraya, investigate more about this case. Contact Jeffry. I want that man to get what he deserves."

The phone call was ended by Gavin. His eyes gazed sadly at Kiana who was still lying weakly. For this life, Gavin didn't want to be a fool like his previous life. There was a reason why the creator brought Gavin back to turn back time. This was not just luck, but a challenge and a truth that would be revealed.

"Bastard!"

At ten o'clock at night, Gavin woke up to the sound of a female voice calling his name. Surprise and happiness mixed together. Gavin saw Kiana staring at him. She asked him to come closer.

"Are you awake? Oh my." the ridiculous question escaped Gavin's lips. His hand pressed the bell, then he grabbed a glass of water.

"Drink up," he said as he helped Kiana to drink.

Not long after, two doctors entered the room. They checked Kiana's condition. Luckily, there was nothing serious wrong with her. It was just that Kiana had to rest completely.

"Ah, I forgot to tell you something. It turns out that your sister is---"

"When can I go home, doctor?"

The doctor looked puzzled at the look in Kiana's eyes. "You can go home in two days. Then I'll excuse myself."

I don't know if it was just Gavin's feeling or if it was the truth. Kiana seemed to be hiding something so serious. Gavin wanted to ask her a question. However, Kiana's current condition did not allow it. So, he decided to take her hand and leave his work.

"Brother Gavin."

Kiana's voice broke the silence between the two of them. The girl's gaze was very sad.

"Are you happy with this life?"

Gavin was silent. He couldn't answer Kiana's question at all. Honestly, Gavin was happy now that he had been given a second chance.

"I want to have a whole family just like everyone else. Eat at the dinner table with the four of us. Go on vacations together and enjoy leisure time while watching movies at home. My wish is so simple, but why has it been realized. Does Gavin know why?"

Kiana's tears flowed. Gavin hurriedly wiped them away with his thumbs. The man held Kiana's face gently.

"I know, only Father loves Mother. Mom has suffered for decades. She left her first love for me. I don't want to be like mom. Struggling alone. I also want to have a complete and perfect love."

Kiana's cries grew louder. She poured out all her emotions in tears. Often, she hit her chest repeatedly. Gavin could only remain silent. This time the mature man understood. Kiana was going through a period of heartbreak. He didn't know which man had hurt his sister. Gavin felt like punching that bastard.
