“No!” Marwan argued. “From birth until a teenager, their body biorhythm is the same as us. But, when entering young adulthood, they will stay young as immortals do,” said Marwan, patting Herman’s back to remind him that the team has moved on.
“Hey, don’t leave me behind!” Herman ran after Mr. Bill.
“Herman, don’t daydream,” Marwan called. “Let’s go inside!”
Herman heard Marwan’s call, but he was looking at the building his team entered into. This building was shaped like a gigantic tree trunk, so it was as though being harmonically blended with its surrounding nature. The building was so high, that its apex was as though invisible, covered by a cluster of thin clouds so it looked like a gigantic snow-covered tree.
Without lingering any longer, Herman rushed to catch up.
Moments later, Herman stood inside a room with a very high dome ceiling. Every side was decorated with human-shaped statues more than ten meters high. And the statues were still too low to reach the ceiling on this floor. Strangely, the human-carved statues were painted black.
Herman saw the hustle and bustle inside. The mall ceiling was decorated with confetti gleamed with colors that crisscrossed with walls facing each other. Gimmicks of colorful lamps and fancy goods also completed the decoration like it was Christmas or New Year’s Eve. The balloons were also attached, so they looked extravagant. Also, the soothing music perfected the whole ambiance. People in the Old World liked festivities too.
According to the previous search team, the last time they found Amanda’s tracks was in this mall. But, how could they search in this crowded place?
Since then, everything Marwan saw astonished him. As he was a scientist and this was his first-time experience, he was surprised again when he set his eyes on something.
“Isn’t that...?” Marwan pointed at a thing that was placed on top of a decoration table. It was a skull made of crystal. “... the Crystal Skull?” he exclaimed. That ancient alien skull in the last Indiana Jones movie was from this age!
“This is a historical discovery!” said Marwan as he was unable to keep his eyes away from that thing. His conscience couldn’t contain his desire to fondle that magnificent relic. He took the skull carefully and watched every detail, as it was one of a kind alien skull ever existed in this world – if the movie was true.
“Please, don’t be absurd, mate,” said Jhaansen, copying the way Bill talked. “Look at your back. It’s just a toy here.”
Marwan couldn’t believe what he just heard. But he was so ashamed when he saw the Crystal Skulls Jhaansen pointed displayed on a showcase. Hastily, he put the fake Crystal Skull in its original place.
“So, the Crystal Skull here is only a handicraft made with the Old World technology!” Marwan mumbled in disappointment.
Jhaansen only shrugged. “Those are copies all right. And somehow, there was the real one in our age. Even if it’s true, the Crystal Skull has rejoined its body and it has gone away into space with its comrades.” He has watched the movie too.
“Oh well, you can say nature has left us a message,” said Marwan, “That in the past we always thought that our history was transitioned directly from Stone Age. There is a ‘missing link’, that the Stone Age has evolved to the age in the Pliocene Period with advanced technologies, the future we in our modern world haven’t reached yet. Also, the History of Mankind must be rewritten! Today we note that the majority of inhabitants in this Pliocene Period consists of the black-skinned race!”
“But Professor, after seeing all this, I’m sure civilizations didn’t exist in this part of the world only!” said Bill. “And it’s not just Proto-Ancient Egypt!”
“You’re right,” Marwan nodded in agreement.
“Mr. Marwan, so you mean the Proto-Ancient Age of Gods like Osiris and the lot in Egypt didn’t just happen in Egypt alone, but in other places too?”
Marwan didn’t answer right to the point. “Many experts have claimed based on the evidence found in various places on Earth, like the Inca in South America, even ancient buildings in the North Pole and many other places.”
Only then did he answer the last question. “Yes, of course now we can assume Osiris and all the other gods in various civilizations and mythologies existed in a period on Earth, even to this time in the Old World!”
“The Prehistoric Era didn’t entirely mediocre after all,” said Herman. “Why did we think that way? And then, where did the Old World suddenly go to? There must be a reason why.” He was puzzled.
Marwan turned his head in another direction, as though avoiding Herman’s hard-to-answer, hard-to-explain question.
“Evidence has pointed that in the Old World there was a very advanced civilization that was wiped out,” said Marwan, still staring straight at a distance.
Herman paid attention as he stared sharply at Marwan’s face. “However, we thought that the Prehistorical Era was entirely mediocre for sure because we thought that we are the first fully evolved humans ever dwelled in this world. We also thought that we are the perfect species as a result of the evolution from primates... which not. The Homo Sapiens we thought we were was gone, and God has created us back from ashes and dust into the new type of Homo Sapiens, in form of Adam and Eve.”
“Now the land has become the bottom of a sea. Does that mean the said Paradise was gone too and been buried deep underground because of a major earthquake?” Herman asked. “Or any other cause?”
“I don’t know,” Marwan argued, “but I’m sure there was a massive disaster that happened once in the Old World that caused all this to disappear.”
And then, the team kept on walking farther inside and blended with the commotion in the mall. The activities they saw became more clear. The statues and images of a black-skinned man wearing a sun-crested robe were seen so very many, far more than other images and statues. They must’ve been celebrating something related to the sun.
“They are preparing for the new millennium which will arrive in a few weeks. This is so extraordinary for them. But I don’t know what is the connection between this festival and the sun. Maybe, perhaps they worship the sun? But I’m not sure about that either,” said Bill.
“Why’s that?” Made asked. “Isn’t it a normal thing?”
“That’s not the problem,” Marwan cut in. “I have a bad feeling about this.”
Made Oka stared at Marwan, hoping for a further explanation.
“From my notes, The Old World Age of Osiris and other gods vanished just on the eve of the millennium change,” Marwan explained. Made and the others believed what Marwan said, so they were concerned too.
Meanwhile, Herman took something out of his pocket, they were a small book and a ballpoint. He then scribbled a note on the book. A moment later, he put the book and ballpoint in their place. After that, Herman listened again to Made Oka and Marwan’s conversation.
“What caused the Apocalypse that wiped the entire Old World out?” Made asked.
“From my journeys to the various countries of the world, every ancient civilization scattered throughout the world has a collective memory which is similar – if not the same – as the extinction of Proto-Ancient Egypt mega-civilization. This phenomenon, strangely, is closely related to the presence of a ‘dragon descending from the sky,” said Marwan.
“Dragon descending from the sky?” Bill reacted. “Sounds like a myth!”
“It’s a myth, all right,” answered Marwan, “but dragons are merely symbols of primitive nations that depict their origins.”
“So, did dragons exist?” Herman asked, unable to contain his unquenchable curiosity any longer.
“I have no idea. Until now I haven’t got a concrete clue about the existence of dragons, literally,” Marwan admitted.
“As long as we’re here, we can’t go very far,” Made complained. “As this world is strange, we’re getting closer to a massive, unknown danger. We don’t know how devastating the catastrophe will be. Will it be an Apocalypse that wipes out this entire paradise? The clock is ticking, and we must find Amanda, bring her home and wrap this mission up fast before Apocalypse comes.”
“Do the Old World people know that their world is about to end?” Herman asked again.
This time Marwan was sick and tired of Herman, who kept asking questions whose answers were everyone’s guesses. As a scientist, he must admit he lacked either information or knowledge about this unexpected fact to answer such questions. Herman better asks a scientist to get his answer, not Marwan.
However, instead of confronting this potential future protégé to pass his knowledge to, Marwan gave a simple answer, “I have no idea. As I said, I’m new here.”
Three days have passed. Still, there was nothing they could do in this strange yet partly familiar world. Made and his team sat in groups, quite a distance from each other, and staged a surveillance perimeter, in case Amanda would pass this place again. However, that method finally struck Herman with boredom. It was not working. There must be a better way.
Made Oka and Marwan were chatting, while Herman sat at a different table next to them. He was writing by himself on that table.
“You don’t need to be reluctant with me,” Made persuaded Marwan. “You know I got a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Hawaii due to your brilliant idea contributions.”
Marwan glanced and stared at his senior when they got the scholarship together in that university.
“You already know what the dragon descending from the sky was. Please elaborate,” said Made.
Marwan turned again, saying, “All right, let’s go back to the neutrinos. Neutrinos floating from the planet's surface form the ionosphere that’s getting thicker and thicker to prevent harmful excessive sunray and other matters. Meanwhile, the ionosphere layer on the planet became thicker to perfection. That caused the climate on the planet's surface to be cooler, as proven by the extension of extreme cold zones on the two poles on Earth.
While the neutrinos float from the stars, as a result of carbon or positron cycle processes. At first, it looked like a nebula, a massive cloud formed among the stars. And then those nebulas merged as comets.”
“I already knew from your explanations that the smallest concrete parts of an atom are electrons, positrons, and the non-particles that have no mass, or in short, neutrons. From the neutrons, I utilize records of the past for the time machine which dimension we are in now,” said Made Oka. “However, I need to know what is its connection to the comet that made the orbits of Earth and other planets tilted to the north and south ecliptically in its revolutionary orbit against the sun?”
“I still remember you once said that Earth once entered Ice Age because its orbital revolution against the sun was tilted northwards and southwards at its eclipticals. As the outcome, the northern and southern ecliptic zones on Earth were unreachable by sunlight and the climate became cold.”
“Here’s the catch,” Marwan responded. “We know that neutrons have anti-matter, non-particle characteristics but are connected in what we call a cohesion. The comet always flies away from the orbiting stars and becomes faster than the speed of light. It bumps into the blocking solar system. The solar system is dragged along because the neutrons on it are absorbed by the comet. So, the comet looks like a star with a long tail… or a dragon flying in the sky. The impact of that comet destroys the planet's surface. But what happened to Earth in the Pliocene Age became the cause of the climate change into being colder and freezing. It was because the comet nearly dragged the sun in our solar system along with it.”
“It was hard to understand if science still states that the comet is formed from a mass of dust and gas that freezes into ice,” said Made Oka. “While the coming of the comet is hard to predict, the form is still an assumption. In addition, its size is assumed smaller than the sun. That’s why I understand more and have utilized neutrino or free electron, which I noted, and you said electrons and positrons are neutral entities covering the positron. That’s why they’re named neutrons or neutrinos. So, we can call neutrons anti-matters, energy, non-particles, or like in Star Wars movies, the Force.”
“Let me continue,” Marwan cut in. Made Oka smiled and then signaled to go ahead. “The climate change happened because Earth was tilted northwards and southwards in its orbit against the sun,” said Marwan. “Everything begins since the Great Flood in Noah’s time. The tilting movement of the planet from south to north caused climate change. Seasons became shorter by centuries.” “So, the cause of all that is a comet?” Made Oka concluded. Marwan nodded and agreed with his good friend’s conclusion. “I didn’t mind if this zig-zagged orbit theory contrasts with the science that stated that Earth was tilted against the sun since its conception,” said Made Oka. “It’s the opposite of your description about the Lunar Year that began since the Day of the Solar Eclipse, signaled that there will be a moon shadow in the west. At that time, it’s supposed to be a total eclipse in a certain place on the Earth's equator. The occurrence of penumbra or partial eclipse also becomes proof that your theor
Pathetic! Herman cursed in his thoughts as he sat down on a nearby bench to rest his feet a bit, charge his smartphone by putting it into the slot next to him and plan his next move. They are just a bunch of slow, decrepit old men!Herman reminisced about the team he left behind and Made Oka who rebuked him when he said, “I think I can try with their internet. I’ve tried that yesterday and it worked. I interpreted their language through the binary…”No wonder Herman was upset by the limitations set by Made’s team, which, according to him, was too protective for their good. The team did manage to move stealthily and safely all the time until they returned with more neutrino samples, but they would never find Amanda that way.Only by trying a few things, I know that the internet system functions here are easy to decipher and understand, said Herman to himself. I understand those scientists and technicians don’t have the skill to hack, decipher, tweak and synchronize internet codes, but
Having dinner in that diner, he sat with others. While eating, he even thought of Amanda, whether she was well fed or starving. Whether she was healthy or sick, happy or sad, content or miserable. But maybe, as fellow Millenials and as Marx Reign's granddaughter, she would much likely survive with her resources and resourcefulness, he hoped. Now that the cover-ups were done, it was time to spend some of the unlimited ankh credits for good use. As Herman had observed and learned how to drive a hover scooter from his teammate, he decided to buy a hoverbike from a nearby showroom. Naturally, he picked the sporty type. Seeing Herman's shabby looks, the showroom salesman didn't talk much to him. He only looked at the buyer's choice, typed something on the electronic data capture or EDC payment device, and displayed the credit amount and QR code on it to Herman. Herman scanned the code and paid the amount due, his eyes widened a bit. The salesman nodded and smiled a bit, said thank you, an

Herman sighed in relief knowing that every problem in this era was solved easily and instantly. It was a simple, good life everyone dreamt of, so why should it end? You could blame the supernova for that. Finally, Herman went away from the bike showroom with a lighter heart. And now he wanted to find another district in the city where he could get a good internet relay network signal. As he reached one, he activated Thoth Biometric Search Engine and hoped to get results this time. When he just logged in and ran the search, Herman shouted, “Bingo!” He just saw a message notification on the touch screen. He didn’t expect so quick a response and hoped that was about Amanda’s whereabouts. He then clicked the glowing hieroglyphic icon. Suddenly, by his side stood the girl long sought by himself and her loved ones from her time.“Amanda!” Herman shouted excitedly, turning to embrace the love of his life. But sadly, the Amanda he saw was just a virtual holographic image.Adding to his embarra
Hmm, now what? This time the witty Herman was like out of his wits. I might bribe the crew of the plane to stow me inside, but I don’t know whether they can be bribed or not. Looks like there are no semi-manual, freelance jobs here, everything is robotic. If I sneak inside, I don’t understand the blueprint and the layout of these flying saucers kind of hover planes. Just then, right in front of him, there were piles of crates waiting to be loaded into a hover cargo plane. While Herman understood from the inscriptions on their labels that the crates were sent to Atut Baton, he still could only consider his options, thinking hard about a hidden position in the hangar, trying to find the best way how he could be a stowaway in that cargo plane. When Herman was staring forward and scratching his head, suddenly a brusque, loud voice broke through the noises. “Hey!” shouted a weighty man wearing a worn pack, a shabby towel hung around his neck. At first, Herman didn’t think that the fat m
The natural stone stairway became the way to reach the high terraces. Herman became more awestruck on seeing the Sphinx up close, sitting flat on a stone altar three meters high. This time Herman smelled the fragrances from burnt incenses and flowers placed all over the place, emanating a religious, somewhat sacred aura. He only had a chance to take a glance at everything because the train-towing hoverbike kept on moving. He went into a warehouse next to the main building and stopped to unload the cargo. After the work was finished, he then read the next job schedule on the holographic monitor at the warehouse office. Luckily he got an unlimited off-time until the next job schedule was up. "I'll go to get some fresh air," said Herman to the warehouse supervisor who supervised the cargo unloading. And then he walked briskly along the pedestrian way corridor to the spot where they would meet Amanda. This time Herman stood right below the front foot of the gigantic Sphinx statue. The
"And then, do you know that for the model of the Sphinx's face I got the info from the local history? The Sphinx's face was the face of the reigning leader at the time this monument was built," said Amanda. Herman nodded in agreement to this. "There is a popular story in our time of the existence of the Hebrews as slaves to build the pyramids, but all the documentaries and the historical evidence told us that there were no Hebrews in Egypt at the time the pyramids were built – or rebuilt. It was even said that the Hebrew slaves built the pyramids under the whips of the Pharaoh, ruler of Egypt at that time. If the Hebrews didn't live in Egypt during the building of the pyramids, how about the Israelites? The Israelites didn't live in Egypt until around 1,000 BC, when various Semitic tribes united in Canaan to form a single independent kingdom, at least 600 years after the completion of the last great pyramid of Egypt. So, it's impossible that the Israelites or the Hebrews lived in Egy
