Chapter 15

When the male guard wouldn't stop glaring at Elvis and Elvis kept smiling, the female guard cleared her throat, only then did the both of them stop.

"Have you been to a prison before?" The male guard asked, a few seconds later.

"No, why did you ask?" Elvis asked, his gaze fixed on the guard's face.

"Because you are acting as if you are going to paradise. Just in case you don't know, you are more or less a domestic animal whenever you are in prison. You don't have freedom of speech, your movement is restricted and a whole lot of things. You think it's funny, huh?" The guard rapped and at the end of his mini speech, he was heaving as if he had just completed a heavy chore.

"I know." Elvis replied with a calm tone.

"Then why are you smiling? I will advise you to brace yourself for the ills in the prison yard and at the same time, pray the good lord sends you a helper."

"Thanks for your advice, I will put that in mind." He replied and the guard waved him off.
