Chapter 14

Elvis repeated his request several times but the cops won't hear him out. They kept pushing him into the interrogation room despite his protest.

When they finally succeeded, he lowered himself on a chair and Detective Artemis walked in, flinging a brown envelope in his hand.

"Did you tell him his charges?" He asked the cop who had clasped his wrists with a cuff earlier.

"I did." He replied.

"But I didn't hear. I even asked him to repeat his words but he wouldn't budge. Bet me, when I get out of here, I'm going to make sure you all spend a week behind bars." He threatened.

The cops around including Detective Artemis burst into a mocking laughter while Elvis looked at them with an embarrassed look. He knew exactly what they were thinking.

"Really? You can't even afford a good meal not to talk about clothings but here you are claiming you are going to put us behind bars… I will call that vivid imagination." Detective Artemis said, erupting in another bout of laughter.
