CHAPTER 30

Jerry shifted uneasily on his feet, stealing a glance at Adam, who remained calm as ever. Clearing his throat, Jerry lowered his voice. “Sir... Do you want me to punish them? I’ll handle it however you see fit.” His hands were clasped in front of him respectfully, his tone full of caution. After witnessing what Adam did to his brother, Drake, Jerry knew better than to push his luck with this man.

Adam didn’t answer right away, letting the weight of silence hang in the air just long enough to make Jerry sweat. Finally, Adam flicked a glance toward the guards, who stood frozen, faces pale with regret. “Get them out of here,” Adam said quietly, but with enough force to make the command feel like a hammer dropping. “And make sure they leave without a cent. No salary, no severance. Nothing.”

The guards’ faces drained of color as the reality of Adam’s words hit them like a punch to the gut. They wanted to argue, to plead their case, but one look at Jerry told them it would be pointless.
