Adam’s voice turned cold as steel.

“Let me make something very clear. Until that divorce is official, you are still my wife. If you dare get engaged to another man, then you’re cheating on me. I won’t accept that—and I won’t stay silent.”

Samuel let out a mocking laugh, clapping slowly.

“Wow. That’s cute. You think your opinion still matters? Do you really think anyone here gives a damn if you ‘accept’ it or not?”

He stepped in closer, lowering his voice to a whisper as he leaned in beside Adam’s ear.

“Not only am I getting engaged to your wife tonight… we’ll be warming the sheets after the party too. Might as well give her a taste of what a real man feels like.”

In a flash, Adam’s fists clenched at his sides. The veins in his arms bulged, his knuckles whitening. Every fiber in his body screamed to put Samuel down right then and there.

But he took a deep breath and forced himself to hold back.

Not yet.

He didn’t come here to explode in a hallway. He came to end this once and for all.

These people had humiliated Adam repeatedly, and Stacey had long grown furious over it.She had been holding back only because Adam hadn’t given her permission to act yet. If he had, she would’ve made them regret their arrogance a long time ago.And she definitely had the power to do it.Before she even met Adam, Stacey was already a mid-level warrior—a tinted practitioner with a solid reputation. But after training under Adam’s guidance and receiving his subtle enhancements, she’d recently broken through to the level of an experienced warrior. Her strength now placed her among the top young elites in Storm City. Not many dared to challenge her in a one-on-one fight anymore.Samuel’s face was dark with rage.“Stacey, are you seriously choosing to side with that trash? Are you going to turn against me for someone like him?” he demanded, his voice shaking with anger.“If Mr. Adam is trash,” Stacey snapped, “then you’re less than nothing. At least trash can still be useful.”Samuel’s fac

“You’re just a secretary,” Samuel sneered. “There’s no way the Supreme One would value someone like you. Meanwhile, I’m Lord Chaosbreaker’s godson. It’s only a matter of time before I meet the Supreme General myself. Who knows—he might like me enough to make me his godson too!”His eyes lit up with excitement as he spoke, as if he was already imagining the Supreme General personally passing him the mantle.“From what I’ve heard, the Supreme One doesn’t have any children,” he continued smugly. “That means he needs a successor. And who better than me?”Stacey burst into laughter. She couldn’t help herself—Samuel sounded absolutely ridiculous. This man had humiliated Adam, stolen another man’s wife, even kidnapped her—and now he was fantasizing about becoming someone else’s heir?Delusional didn’t even begin to describe it.Adam couldn’t help but laugh too.“You?” Adam said with a chuckle. “With that dirty mouth and those cheap tricks, you think you’re worthy of being my godson?”Samuel’

“Exactly. What a shameless slut,” Eleanor spat, her voice dripping with contempt.Meanwhile, Stacey turned to Adam and said calmly, “Mr. Adam, Lord Chaosbreaker will be arriving shortly. I’ll go make the necessary preparations.”Adam gave a slight nod before wheeling himself toward the back of the hall, heading for a table. But before he could settle in, a voice barked out.“Get lost! Who do you think you are, trying to sit with us?” one of the so-called elites snapped. “Take a good look in the mirror, beggar.”The man had been fuming ever since Adam arrived, but with Stacey present, he hadn’t dared speak up—until now. Seeing Adam alone, he jumped at the chance to humiliate him.“Disgusting cripple,” Brian snarled, stepping forward with visible rage. “You should’ve stayed in the gutter where you belong.”Adam raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk playing on his lips. “Didn’t you already learn your lesson last time?”Brian’s face twisted. “You think I’m afraid of you? “See?” Adam nodded casually, then raised his voice. “So tell me—where exactly should I sit, considering my net worth is in the trillions?”“Trillions?”That one word echoed through the hall before the entire room erupted into laughter.“Hahahaha!”“Did he just say trillions?”“Someone get this man a dictionary!”“He doesn’t even look like he has ten thousand to his name!”“He must be the evening’s entertainment. Came to make us laugh, didn’t he?”Mockery flooded in from every direction. The elites scoffed. The crowd jeered. Even Tessa buried her face in her hands and let out a long sigh. Adam had always exaggerated, but this? This was outrageous. She couldn’t think of a single person with a net worth in the trillions—let alone someone like him.Adam remained calm, smiling slightly. “If my wealth is truly in the trillions, then none of you here even qualify to sit in the same room as me.”Samuel snorted. “You’re something else, Adam. Shameless to the core. You lie with such confidence,

Cracking sounds echoed from Adam’s joints as he stretched. It wasn’t pain—far from it. It felt liberating. Each pop felt like a chain being snapped loose. He hadn’t moved like this in a long time. Then, without a word, he turned and walked confidently toward the stage. All eyes followed him. There, at the center, was a grand table with a single, high-backed chair—exquisitely carved and elevated above the rest. It was the throne prepared for Lord Chaosbreaker.Murmurs filled the hall.“What the hell is he doing?” someone whispered.“Is he out of his mind? That seat’s for Lord Chaosbreaker! He’s going to get himself killed!”Samuel’s expression darkened. His voice boomed across the room.“Adam! You really do have a death wish, don’t you? That’s my godfather’s seat—his throne! Get the hell off it before you dig your grave deeper!”Tessa stood up, visibly tense. “Adam, stop it! That’s not your place. Come down right now before this gets worse!”But Adam didn’t even flinch. Adam ignored Samuel entirely. After casually helping himself to a drink, he strolled back up the steps and settled into the throne once again like it was made for him.Gasps rippled through the hall.So he hadn’t stepped down because he was scared—he just wanted a drink. Some looked at him in stunned admiration. Others scoffed in disbelief.“He’s insane…”“Or maybe fearless…”“Still a dead man either way.”Suddenly, a voice roared from the entrance.“Lord Chaosbreaker is here!”The atmosphere shifted instantly. The murmurs died. In one breath, everyone dropped to their knees, heads bowed in fear and reverence.“Kneel to welcome the God of War!”Tessa, wide-eyed with panic, rushed to Adam’s side.“Adam!” she whispered harshly, tugging at his arm. “Lord Chaosbreaker is coming. Kneel! Now!”Samuel gritted his teeth, veins popping in his forehead. “That bastard! He’s still sitting?!”But with Chaosbreaker moments from entering, Samuel didn’t dare make a move.Adam remained on the throne,

No one dared challenge him—not openly.Marvin, who had been silently observing from the side, hesitated for only a moment. He was about to lower himself into a respectful bow when he caught Adam’s eyes. A slight movement of Adam’s lips sent a quiet command in his direction.“Don’t reveal my identity yet,” Adam’s voice echoed softly in his mind.Marvin’s eyes flickered

Triston’s corpse lay lifeless in the center of the hall, surrounded by armed soldiers in full tactical gear. The stench of smoke and iron filled the air. She gripped Adam’s arm tightly. “What the hell happened here?” she asked, her voice sharp with confusion and disbelief. Adam’s expression didn’t change. Calm. Cold. “I dealt with everyone who tried to hurt you.” Tessa’s heart skipped. Her gaze darted across the room. Samuel wasn’t in sight. Neither was Wendy. “Wait—where’s Wendy? And Samuel?” she asked, eyes narrowing. “Adam… don’t tell me you—” “I didn’t kill them,” Adam cut in, reading her mind. “They’re not worth that. They’ve been arrested.
