Tessa’s heart pounded. Panic gripped her as she shoved Adam aside and scrambled in front of Marvin. Without hesitation, she dropped to her knees.

But just as she bowed her head, Marvin’s eyes locked onto the necklace around her neck—the Cursed Idol Amulet.

His expression froze.

Adam had returned the necklace to Tessa after rescuing her from the kidnapers.
