Chapter Eight

"Well, I'm in a good mood today." She crossed her arms.

"If you want me to forgive you and consider taking you back, go and get me a cup of coffee." She said curtly while batting her long lashes.

"But I…" Richester began but was interrupted.

"What did you say?" The agent approached them, Richester exhaled heavily as they faced him.

"I'm telling my scum of a husband to get me a cup of coffee. Does that affect you?" She asked curling her lips.

"I'm sorry, you must be mistaken, Mrs. Stella." The agent said and her eyes were asking for elaboration.

"He is Mr. Richester Winston, the man that bought the company." The agent said and Stella gasped, looking at her husband again.

"WHAT?!" She shouted absentmindedly as her eyes tore in desperation.

"Yes. He single handedly purchase your hospital and you should get him a cup of coffee and not the other way round." The agent explained to her and she laughed in confusion.

"This man… this brute, Richester bought my family hospital. How is that even possible?" She raised a brow looking shocked, confused and anxious.

"I won't tolerate it if you speak to him in such a manner." The agent said seriously.

"I don't know how he managed to deceive you but look here, he is a really poor man who married me because of my money. He has nothing to call his own! I know him more than anything." She began.

"I can swear with my life that you have been scammed. He can never buy this hospital even in his third life!" She vouched vividly and Richester smirked.

He thought his wife would change but she was still arrogant and insultive. He shook his head in dissatisfaction.

"You are still doubting instead of apologizing to the new CEO." The man asked cryptically and she smirked.

She was still finding it hard to believe. She knew Richester more than anyone, he wouldn't be able to achieve anything without her help.

"Buying my company? Never!" She continued shaking her head.

"You want me to believe you, right? I need proof." She said boldly while crossing her arms.

Richester exchanged knowing stares with the agent.

"If that's what you want." The agent left and went back into the meeting room to get the documents.

She rolled her eyes at Richester from his head to his toe.

"You can never achieve anything, you better start begging for forgiveness." She cussed.

"I'm not here to work under you, Stella. The table has turned." He said confidently, tucking his hand into his trouser pocket.

His unusual intimidating aura irked her as she waited for the agent. He returned with the documents and passed it to her.

She glanced at it and lifted her brow at him, it was unbelievable.

"This… this…" her eyes widened in shock with her lips trembling.

"How come?" The fact that her hospital has been claimed by her useless husband still caught her by surprise.

"Talk to me, how did this fool manage to get so much money?" She pushed the documents back into the agent's hand and faced her husband.

"As shown in the paper, that's the truth." Richester's statement has suddenly become short, strict and domineering.

"Boss, we have to leave." The agent opened the meeting door, he brushed Stella away and entered the meeting.

She fumed in anger as she followed them in, she was dreaming but any how she tried to pinch herself - the truth kept on colliding with her memory.

Madam Harriet, John, Zoey and a few others who have humiliated Richester were astonished to see him walking into the meeting room confidently.

"What is this fool doing here?" John snorted under his breath.

"Why is he here? I accept the fact that she married him, must he come along with her even for the handover meeting?" Another man who despised Richester scoffed in dissatisfaction.

Madam Harriet couldn't say anything, she only watched him in silence as he took his seat. She kept on shooting him bullet stares which he deliberately ignored.

Stella wanted to whisper something to her mother but it was too late since the meeting started as soon as she came in.

"As at yesterday, our company was sold to a mysterious yet rich and well deserved young man." Madam Harriet began with a smile hovering on her face.

"He is here with us today to claim his company. I'll be stepping down as the Chief Executive Officer since someone already took my position." Madam Harriet was mixed with feelings, but since the money was there. She was relieved a bit, at least Stella could still work in the hospital as the Managing Medical Director.

"So, the new CEO of Mandela's hospital is…" the agent started and tension took over the hall.

Everyone wanted to know who will be the new boss.

"Mr. Richester Winston!" The agent made sure to increase his voice at the call of Richester's name and almost everyone gasped in shock.

"What?" Madam Harriet's face was still like a cold ice had been placed on it, she was mumbling yet making no sound.

"What's going on here?" John was startled in surprise.

Zoey didn't react much though her eyes were lingering with curiosity. What was he up to? She looked at her friend, Stella, who was looking like a rabbit that was drenched by midnight rain.

Richester got up from his seat and walked over to the main leader's seat.

"Ma'am?" He curled his lips with a bit of mockery hanging on it.

"Oh…" Madam Harriet felt embarrassed as she got up from the seat.

She felt reluctant to shake him which was necessary but he made the first move.

"Con… congratulations to you, my dear son-in-law." She wasn't happy, she wasn't pleased but she didn't want to look mean in public, so she shook his hand.

"Thank you." He sat down and cleared his throat, all eyes were on him.

"How did this happen? When did he attain such wealth?" Abel, one of the bullies in the school which Richester attended, questioned in a low voice.

John shook his head as he also couldn't ascertain how it happened "I'm also confused, bro."

"First thing first, we will start by changing the name of the hospital." Richester's voice echoed in the microphone and everyone was stunned.

Stella couldn't believe her eyes and hated when she was stepped on, hot adrenaline rushed up her spine as she stared at Richester in anger.
