Chapter Seven

The cafe in the street was bustling with life, Richester stepped into the cafe and the door made a jingling sound that made almost everyone look at the exit. He was still dressed in his usual lame outfit.

He sat at the window seat waiting for the agent he had just finished discussing over the phone.

The man was doubting and wanted to see with his own eyes. Richester also asked him to come with the necessary documents that demanded his signature.

"Will you want anything?" The waitress batted her lashes disgustingly at him.

No doubt she was beautiful but he had no guts to talk to her in a way that she may not be offended.

"I'm fine." He managed to say.

"This is not a place for free sitting. You have to order something in the next few minutes, otherwise you will be pushed out." She sighed and left for the next table.

He shook his head in disbelief, but the jingling sound attracted his attention. He saw the agent approaching him. They sat across from each other.

"Do you mean what you said over the phone?" The agent asked immediately he sat down, he was curious and in disbelief.

He knew Richester too well that there was no way he would have such money to purchase the hospital.

"Send your account details, I will wire the money and sign the hospital ownership." He said strictly, the man swallowed hard.

"I don't trust you though…" the man's voice was shaking.

"But if you want to do this… as an agent I also have a 30% commission." He said avoiding Richester's sharp stares.

"I'll pay double." He said courageously, the agent was taken aback but he felt there was no harm in trying.

He called his account number as Richester started dialing in his phone. It didn't take up to a second or two, the agent phone beeped in his pocket.

He stared at Richester intently before checking his phone.

"What? You sent more than…." He was lost in words as he checked the alert repeatedly.

"The documents." He sneered.

The agent first forward the money to his second account to verify if it was real, when he was debited and he saw the accurate debit alert. He was shocked to the bone marrow.

He brought the documents out from the box he was carrying and pushed it over to Richester.

"I'm… I'm… happy for you." He stuttered because he felt guilty.

He had gotten on Richester's bad side, he was now willing to follow his lead.

"You can just say congratulations, Mr. Richester." He snorted boldly as he finished signing, he pushed the pen back to the agent and collected his own original copy.

In the hospital, every activity was going smoothly. Stella rushed out of her office and went over to her mother's office that was farther.

"Someone bought our company." Madam Harriet told her immediately she entered her office.

"I'm also shocked. Who could buy our company at once? It was really expensive, not even John could buy it." Stella was surprised and anxious.

"In such a short time, he must be a rich man." Her mother faced her.

"You need to get on his good side, do you hear me?" Her mother urged her seriously.

"Definitely, mum. The board said there will be a meeting tomorrow morning for the hospital handover." She informed her mother confidently.

"I'm still shocked though." She left her mother's office, shaking her head in disbelief.

She couldn't wait to meet the mysterious man that bought their hospital in such a short time. She would do anything to get on his good side, that was certain.

"Gift Unlocked, Handsomeness." The computerized voice said in his head as he noticed the new style of his hair.

He dressed in his newly acquired suit and was ready to face the storm ahead. He arrived at the hospital and met Doctor Frank, he shook his head in mockery.

"Whose money did you steal this time to purchase this outfit and what are you doing here?" Doctor Frank asked abusively.

"How much are you paid here?" He was having an inexpressive expression.

"What?" Doctor Frank was irritated.

"Tell me." He urged him, still maintaining his stand.

"It's not like he can ever gain such money, tell him. He can't do anything." One of the nurses spilled bluntly and rolled her eyes at him.

"$200, that is enough to make you fret. Right?" Doctor Frank raised a brow but was taken aback when Richester did nothing but chuckle.

"What's that?" He questioned anxiously.

"Send me your account details. I'll buy you out of here." Richester said seriously, and everyone burst into laughter.

"You're kidding, right? You don't even have any money or have you stolen your wife's money this time?" Doctor Frank was in disbelief but decided to try his luck since Richester didn't respond to him.

Richester wired some money in his account and left.

"What? Jesus! This is my one year salary in just one month!" Doctor Frank's voice evaded the entire reception as other nurses ran over to him, Richester smirked.

The doctor and nurses were left in shock.

"How come?" Doctor Frank's mouth was trembling.

Richester followed the agent into the restricted confidential hallway, he crossed paths with Stella.

"Look what we have here." She bursts into laughter even when she hasn't gotten closer to him.

"Excuse me." The agent left to arrange a few things in the meeting room, Richester was left with his wife.

"Why are you so shameless? You are here to beg me, I guess." She rolled her eyes while clapping her hands in disbelief.

"Stella, I…" He began but she interrupted him by shushing him.

"Stop it. You are fired and I don't intend to take you back in. Aren't you ashamed of begging every time you get on my bad side?" She raised a scornful brow at him.

He swallowed hard.

"I won't let you work under me again, fool. Just get lost." She said in contempt, looking at him spitefully.

Richester thought she would listen to him even for a minute but she was over the moon, ragging him again.

"And this suit, did you steal my money again?" She asked curtly and they locked their gaze.
