Chapter Fourty

“Mr. Richester, are you prepared?” The prosecutor asked him, as he took his seat. They have transferred Richester back to the interrogation room.

“You have a few hours left, do you have any confession to make?” He urged and Richester smirked.

“Is there any difference?” He scoffed, he didn’t know the game they were playing but he knew he was defeated in his own game.

“I will stick to my own truth till the end because I know you have already been paid by them.” He said seriously, with his voice filled with disdain and the prosecutor burst into laughter, already feeling guilty.

“I know how demoralized you are, I mean gathering evidence and all of it. I will leave you to it.” The prosecutor scorned him as he stood up. “See you in court soon.” He left.

Richester lowered his head without a word. Everything was happening so fast that he couldn’t even get a hold of it, both the system and humans were all over him.
