Chapter Fourty-One

Madam Harriet smiled happily at the content in her phone before lifting her gaze from the phone with a sharp exhale.

“This is favorable.” She said as she narrowed her gaze to the man sitting across from her.

Leonard sighed. “I should congratulate you.” He commented and she shook her head.

“No. I must thank you for your understanding.” She said calmly and he agreed.

“That’s the right thing to do, an ant can never grow into an elephant immediately.” Leonard scratched his head a bit. “So, how much will the bail be?” He questioned after a brief pause.

“You don’t need to care about that, sir.” She crossed her leg across the other. “Just focus on your new position as the Chief doctor.” She wiggled a brow which he clearly understood.

“Sure thing. I will leave you.” He stood up and approached the door but paused. “I hope I don’t get mixed up in the whole thing though, please keep things straight.” He sounded a bit serious but tried not to make it obvious then he left the office entirely.
