Chapter Twenty-Three

“When I knock, you should open up without asking useless questions.” Madam Harriet barged into his room when he delayed opening up.

“How can I help you, ma’am?” He looked at her before checking the time on the wall clock, it was past midnight.

“I guess you must have heard our conversation one way or the other, you need to accept your fate and leave.” She began.

“Our visitor crave for some midnight snacks, make some and serve them.” She snorted at his face and he smirked in disgust.

“Really? Up till now you still have the guts to send me errands like a slave?” He asked in disbelief.

“If not a slave, who do you think you are?” She raised a mocking brow and he sighed.

“I know I’m nothing compared to all the mother and daughter rich clients but at least you should have respect since I’m a man. You brought another man into this house even when we haven’t settled for divorce and now you are about to turn me into a dandy boy for him.” He almost gasps, shaking his head. “I can’t believe you.”
