Chapter Two

"Say sorry to him," Stella said, flaring a nostril. She looked like a demon possessed her.

"And who is he that can't apologize when he is wrong?" Richester questioned staring at the man over and over again.

Mr. Robinson turned to Stella while shaking his head, Stella exhaled deeply trying to recollect her thoughts.

"Mr. Robinson, I'm really sorry about…" she began but he interrupted her.

"I have heard rumors about your silly husband but now I can tell that they are all true." He spat at her face before turning to Richester.

"You are just an idiot and I doubt if anyone would accept you if not for this…" he stopped talking because he noticed it was of no use.

The staff had already started gossiping between themselves as they watched the scenario happening before them.

"Look here, Mrs. Stella. I'm sorry but I don't think I can keep up with the deal." He said seriously as he attempted to leave, she grabbed his arm looking so desperate.

"Please." she cried out.

"We can talk this out, Robin…" her eyes were begging for his leniency, he shoved her hands away.

"Take care of your family matters before you come to me." He shot a last annoying look at Richester before leaving the hospital.

"You fool!" Another slap landed at his face as she yelled at him.

That was it, she was pissed off and he was her punching bag. She could only pour her anger on him since he was useless and helpless.

"Do you know what you have done this time?" She questioned him in ire.

"I don't know. He bumped into me and…" he tried to explain himself but she shut him off.

"That was Mr. Robinson, you idiot! Not just anyone but our top client, what should we do now?" She raised an annoying brow at him.

Richester was downcasted upon seeing the consequences of his action. He scanned the reception and saw eyes on him, they were laughing, smirking and glaring at him annoyingly.

He was never loved, not by his in-laws or staff.

"Come with me, now!" Stella commanded him in anger and walked out of the reception.

Like a duck, he followed her.

Stella accepted a few greetings from some colleagues as she approached her mother's office, the Chief Executive Officer. She knocked on the door and a feminine voice called her in.

"Mother…" She pretended to be sad and dissatisfied.

Madam Harriet stood up from her black leather seat and approached them.

She was wearing a flashy golden dress, her long black heels made a sound at each step that she took. Her blonde hair was resting on her shoulders with a tough smile resting on her lips.

The chair clanked as she pulled it closer to herself and sat down.

"What's the problem this time and why are you with this scum?" She asked disdainfully, shooting Richester a dirty look.

"I think he needs more spanking." Stella walked closer to her mother.

"He made Mr. Robinson change his mind. He is not going to invest with us again." Stella spilled bluntly and immediately, Madam Harriet sprang up from her seat.

"What?" The wrinkles that had been hiding on her forehead squeezed as she stared at Richester intently.

They were at a loss. They lost someone they have been trying to convince for a whole month in just one day.

"Never!" Like a swift wind, she grabbed his shirt. She was looking so dangerous as though she wanted to devour him.

"Mother…" he was shaking slowly but tried to act bold.

"Don't call me that!" She shunned him and pushed him aside, he arranged his tie.

"I didn't know who he was. I was only asked to arrange papers and do what I'm told. How could I know an important figure like him?" Richester said evading every courage he could grab.

Stella approached him with a heavy step and wanted to slap him but her mother's voice stopped her.

"Enough of this, he is nothing but a church rat and we will have to deal with him the hard way." She sighed as she got up from her chair and grabbed the telephone.

His eyes widened.

"Ma'am." He knew what was coming but he couldn't approach her since her demeanor was hostile.

"Come in." That was Madam Harriet's last word as her office door swung open, two huge men walked into her office.

They were dressed in a corporate black suit with a bullet proof vest, they held him by his arms so strongly that he winced in pain.

"Take him out of here!" Madam Harriet commanded seriously and they nodded before leaving her office.

Stella's lips curled into a bright smile.

"You always know best, mother." She walked over to her mother who gradually sat on her leather seat.

Slow and steady, she massaged her mother's shoulders.

"That idiot needs to know his place." She scoffed.

"That's true. But mum, what are you going to do with him this time?" She raised a brow as her mother pushed her hands away.

"Just let me do my thing, all you have to do is find a way to stop Robinson from backing off." She instructed her seriously and Stella nodded.

"Definitely." She said.

In the isolated street of the urban district, Richester exhaled heavily while walking back home. The mansion of Mrs. Mandela was one of the biggest in the area, thus it led along till the end of the street.

"Get out of the way, cow!" A blaring horn came with a screaming voice and he rushed out of the main road.

He was thinking too deeply that he didn't know the right path to follow.

The living room was dark when he returned, not even the servants were awake. He was forced to work at the construction site for the whole day because of the mess he created and what he was served was the last crumb of bread. Who was he to complain?

He turned on the light and attempted to enter his bedroom when he heard muffling and moaning sounds coming from his wife's room. He was confused and anxious at the same time, it was past midnight and they weren't expecting any guests or visitors nor should they reside in his wife's room.

He knocked twice at the door but there was no response.

"Who's that?" A man asked her with a muffling voice as she wrapped herself properly with the duvet.

"How will I know?" Stella said drowsily.

"About your husband…" the man started but she stopped him by flirtatiously placing a finger across his lips.

"I will get rid of him, by death or whatever way that you want." She said seriously before letting out a flirtatious smile.

They were still discussing when the door pulled open and Richester was standing before them. A big frown enveloped his face as he stared at his wife who was curling over another man, plotting his death.
