Chapter Eighty-Seven

"Why did you hide the truth from us?" Jaden, his colleague asked him seriously. They had pulled him into the staff room and locked the door.

"I- -" He began but was interrupted.

"Hope you ain't gonna tell another lie." Madison rolled her eyes.

"I had no idea I have people who care about me." He nervously scratched his hair. "I wanted to stay somewhere that no one knew about me." He informed them sadly.

"I know some people like living in isolation but since you are working with us, you would have spilled a little bean. Do you know how surprised I was?" John grunted.

"I'm sorry guys." He lowered his head.

"So, does this mean you are hiding from your stepfamily?" Jaden raised an anxious brow.

"Yeah, I have to stay as low as I can and also use this work as a cover." He explained to them.

"This is ridiculous." John sighed.

"It seems so, I felt something when a stranger was asking about you. I had to tell him off as he doesn't look like any of our customers." Madison curled her lips.
