Chapter Fifty-Two

Soon, a black car surfaced in the street, coming in their direction. The car's front headlights were on and the driver constantly honked. They stood at a safe spot.

"Hey, is everything alright here?" A lady said, whining down the window from the passengers' seat.

"Not really, just a small issue." He groaned.

"I can give you a lift back to the city if that's okay with you." The lady raised a brow and he shook his head.

"No, that's okay." He finished his statement and Dennis flashed the strange lady a smile.

"Sir, I think you should join her so as not to miss the morning meeting tomorrow. I can find a way to tow the car back home." Dennis explained to him in a low voice.

"You sure? I don't mind staying here with you until it's fixed." He insisted.

"It's okay, sir. This is my duty." Dennis urged him.

He faced the lady who seemed to be patiently waiting for him with no atom of annoyance. "If so, thanks for your offer and I will have to disturb you." He said with a smile.
