Chapter One Hundred & Eighty-Seven

Melanie woke up to the erratic beeping from the heart monitor, she didn't know how long she was out but all she could remember was the feeling of drowsiness that made her black out.

She was still trying to regain her consciousness when she saw a syringe pierced into her skin, she panicked and her memory came gushing back.

She was being held captive by Mr. Graham and it will take a timely intervention for her to be free. She noticed that there was no one in the room so she stood up carefully, removed the syringe from her skin, and walked toward the door.

She twisted the knob but it wouldn't open, she looked around for a sharp or heavy object she could use to break the door but she couldn't find any and yet again, there were no windows.

Who builds or buys a house without windows? She thought frustratedly.
